Doge coin is one of the popular alt coin . One can find it almost in every gambling websites , but what has happened to it ? it just continues to drop down day by day and now it almost 24sat. Is it a good investment or the coin is going to die?

What is happening to the coin is exactly what should have happened to the coin the week/month it was created. It's creators (Billy Markus - programmer & Jackson Palmer) made Dogecoin as a joke (I guess the joke is on you).

It was never supposed to be a legitimate cryptocurrency. In fact, it's founder just recently claimed the whole cryptocurrency world is a scam.

There is also 111 billion dogecoins in circulation, so naturally inflation is a problem. When you have 111 billion of something useless, it's bound to eventually be worth nothing.

But I am of course, bias, as I have always thought Dogecoin was a complete waste of time. So take what I say with a grain of salt.  Wink

The coins was created as a joke in the first place so I really don't find this coin very progressive or anything like that. I chose not to invest in this coin even if the price is so inviting and this coin had been here for a couple of years but the development of this coin is not that well developed and no news have surfaced also on this coin.

the reason like always is the supply
you can not expect to create a coin with a huge supply, no cap, a large sum being created (the mining reward) each day, and on top of it have no real usage that can create "demand" for that supply or at least a small part of that supply, and also expect to have a high price.

you can not have these two together. there are too many examples of this. whenever any coin has a huge supply (circulating not fake/premine to increase the market cap) its price keeps going down.

as for being a good investment question?
yes it is a good investment if you enter in a good time. for example from 20 sat to 25 sat is only 5 satoshi which may seem small but it is a huge 25% profit.

Dogecoin just a jokecoin, no new concept, no update, no mandatory update, nothing new, just faster confirmation transaction?

I do not know what's really going on with doge coin, but I think this drop is attenuated by several factors, such as a lack of interest in doge coin and many people who panic because a few weeks ago there was bad news from China.

There is no innovation in dogecoin so it's normal to observe a sharp decrease from it. You will have to wait for speculators to pumpt it once again.

Yep, in doge's case, supply is everything and has dictated its price since the beginning.  It's unfortunate because a lot of people actually like the coin, and it's more useful for gambling than bitcoin--don't flame me for that.  But stability of price isn't necessarily a bad thin, especially for a currency.

So no, it's not dead and it's not likely to die anytime soon.   It would have so much more value if they capped the total number of coins though.  That was a fatal mistake on the dev team's part.

I am also surprise about the performance of this doge coin since the beginning of this year.  Doge coin has been dropping since early this and we have never has hope of it raising. I don't think is die but I do believe that something technically is happening and that is why we have been witnessed this bad drop of pricing. Hope the developers do something significantly in other to pump this coins back to were it is before now.

Bitcoin Forum > speculation >Search > dogecoin > Search Results

20-30 Threads of Doge in bitcointalk  and always ask the same questions and answer !
why do people never search the forum?  is the search function so hard here? I think otherwise would not be 20 threads on the same topic

I also think so. I also used Dogecoin for payment and really it is very fast. Now I have 1,77,000 of Dogecoin uue to fall in price I can't withdraw also. If you know more about this coin then tell me if it go at least of $40 within a month.

If it was capped it would have done decent I guess. Its kind of sad to see one of the long runners going down hill in this fashion, without a paddle.
Supply definitely killed the coin, hopefully a lesson for other altcoin.

Do you care or did you invest in doge? If you are interested in trash coins, really there are a lot of better coins with some features and teams in the market. I think doge is one of the worst coins in terms of investment.

You're free to think whatever you want. But from those "news/statements" I see bullshit. You know why? simply bc if he is telling the truth, then crypto is done.
Should I sell my cryptos? I think not.
People like to talk about "coins's purpose". Guess what. Coins have no purpose, neither technology. Humans do.
