There is no size limit here, as far as i know, you can through in as many characters you want. Just make sure you post the announcement in the right section.

There are no standards you can make your Ann as long or as short as possible. It is up to you. Most good Anns cover the basics like white paper, road map a good explanation and a plan for the future as well as some graphics to represent yourself better and quality. I find it's better not to over do it. Keep it short and simple and to the point.

Have a look at the Yolodice Ann for a good example.
