To clarify, payments are just the first feature to the AC blockchain. We have multiple features including "Proof of Creation" launching in the coming months. Payments are a great first step for a new multi-purpose blockchain.

Tell me why we need another coin for payments? Why educator can't be payed in BTC or ETH?

For payments we have fully functional wallets on OSX, Linux, and windows

When ACAD is listed on an exchange in December converting BTC to ACAD and ETH to ACAD will be extremely easy

Also, each time our creators begin sharing  that they accept ACAD to their thousands of students and fans, they will be directing students to the exchange

Tell me why we need another coin for payments? Why educator can't be payed in BTC or ETH?

I think you can pay with BTC or ETH, but there is just another step in the process involved where your money gets converted into ACAD. Is that correct?

Can you elaborate more on Proof of Creation? Is this a way for teachers prove they've created their own course work and possibly market it?

That's exactly right  Grin Using cryptographic hashes, content creators can use transactions to fully own the rights to their content/courses.

POC is the second feature we'll be deploying to wallets in the coming months. Lots of creators are super excited to "copyright" their content.

We will only be accepting digital currencies (BTC, ETH, etc.) in exchange for ACAD tokens. Given payments are just the first feature to the AC blockchain, ACAD tokens are all that is needed to cover payments.

The AC blockchain will be multi-purpose and will supercharge educator's abilities for online learning.

Great question ethermom

Yes, you will be able to accept ACAD payments while teaching digital marketing on Udemy.

Feel free to DM us on Slack with any questions. We love to discuss upcoming features with educators.

This sounds like a great replacement for creator platforms like Patreon. I'm always interested in accepting new forms of payment. I currently teach digital marketing classes on Udemy. Can I use Acdemycoins on Udemy to accept additional payments?

Will you be able to accept other cryptocurrencies as well? Maybe even fiat in the next few years, until it dies?

I can understand your reasoning for that, but I kind of feel like you're limiting yourself. No matter how much we all hate to admit it, fiat is king right now. It's what every person walking down the street uses, so why not trade it for AcademyCoins for the foreseeable future directly from user instead of going through third parties?

That actually seems pretty innovative and what seems to separate your coin from everyone else. I'd really try to push this if I were you.

We can always use feedback from amazing content creators in all subjects

Feel free to DM us on slack

Sorry for the confusion celestio.

To clarify, we launched with educators accepting ACAD for courses in programming, design, and digital marketing. Any online educator is welcome to download our wallet and begin accepting ACAD for their courses, we just launched our network with educators teaching those subjects

In the next 3 months, we are releasing some exciting features (beyond payments) which will attract educators in many different subjects.

Thanks for the support!

Why do you only start with "programming, design, and digital marketing"? Why don't you allow anyone to offer courses from the start? Or have I misunderstood?

Yes, a lot more clear now. Would you consider adding someone in the team that's an expert in cognitive psychology, specifically learning and remembering? I have a friend that might be the perfect symbiosis of AcademyCoin.

That's great, I'll let him know about your project.

Agreed. When ACAD is listed on the exchange fiat will play an active role in currency exchange.

Listing on the exchange will open the door for converting currency for ACAD  Wink

So you really think the POC will be up and ready to go by January still? How much work has already been done on it?

I can't seem to find any mention of a bounty program in this thread. Am I just somehow missing it, or do you not plan on having one?

I think you can pay with BTC or ETH, but there is just another step in the process involved where your money gets converted into ACAD. Is that correct?

The thing is people love it to be as easy as possible. If a process involves a step too many, they might not use your service. The exchange from BTC to ACAD is mandatory, but does not happen automatically right? Some might not like that.

To start, ACAD will be able to be purchased with any of the top 100 cryptocurrencies

On a couple of the exchangess ACAD will be listed on some fiat currency will be accepted

It's important to add that payments are first. POC and a dozen other features are in development for content creators

For payments we have fully functional wallets on OSX, Linux, and windows

Everyone is working of 40-60 hours per week on the AC blockchain features.

We've been working on the community for 2 years now and developing AcademyCoin for a little over 6-months now

Thanks for the support!
