Hello, I'm sorry if the question has already been posted, but I didn't find my answer...

I'm starting to have quite a lot of different crypto on bittrex and I want to put them more secure. I'll move them on myetherwallet waiting to receive my ledger nano S. So I wanted to know if MEW was the best security for ERC20 tokens ?
Is it better to create 2 differents MEW wallets and splitting my coins? Or can I put everything on the same MEW wallet without danger? Maybe having 2 MEW wallet is a problem for the Ledger after?

Thank for your answer !

A lot of people trusted it and you hold the private keys so Yes it is safe. The only problem with myetherwallet is a lot of phishing attempts uses a copy of its site to steal coins from newbie users mostly using slack channels so you should beware of those.
I personally split my coins on different MEW wallets because i feel its much safer.

Exactly, Myetherwallet is best when it comes to ERC20 tokens. You should keep your private key offline to make sure it cannot be hack by someone. What I do is bookmark myetherwallet so everytime I access it I go to bookmark page and click it there to make sure it did'nt change url. This way you can be assured.

I feel safer stored in bittrex wallet than storing in MEW. I am afraid of fishing, some people lose their coins in MEW.

If you use MEW, bookmark the site so you don't click any phishing links at least.

I do the same, that's the simplest and easiest way to avoid going on a fake MEW. And despite that I still check the address  Cheesy

For your information, there is also a way to use MEW as cold storage.

Every wallet unfortunely has some risk and this is normal but I think mew is the securest one only if you know how to protect yourself from different kind of hacking attacks.

Yes. MEW is safe and the best security for ERC20 tokens. And as long as you have the private keys and the password backup to a safe and secure location I think you are all good. Yes, for added security you can create 2 MEW wallets and split the coins.

I feel safer stored in bittrex wallet than storing in MEW. I am afraid of fishing, some people lose their coins in MEW.

Lol. You are kidding right? What if the exchange was hack? How can you recover your funds then? As for phishing , you just need to bookmark the site. Just remember to not click anything you see on the web to above being phish. It's really up to us how to manage this as compare to a exchange where you don't have control of your private keys.

Sorry, I do not understand the meaning of the question...

MEW is a GUI for managing ETH-Adress from private key(etc).
Therefore, the MEW does not usually have the concept of number.

We can manage different ETH-Adress on a single ledger.
And we can also manage multiple ETH-Adress with MEW(Its necessary to Unlock with another secret key each time).

I think it's okay to have 2 or more MEW wallets
but I think you'd better combine all your coins in one MEW account, as long as you are careful to save the private key, your wallet must be safe Grin

I agree with most of the comments here, MEW is safe and best security for ERC20 tokens and you have your private keys with you so its much convenient and safer for you too. And I think you can store different MEW on a single Ledger, I asked a friend who was using Ledger Nano S and I asked him if it is more convenient to use than Trezor and he mentioned about using multiple MEW's.
