wow it's really cool, do not you have trouble when paying something with BTC? Then how do you find out which store or place can do with BTC.

This is amazing. We need more of such inspiring adventure to speed up the patronage of Bitcoin and not stuffs that will spread FUD in people. I am also planning on traveling with 4BTC to Japan this Christmas. I heard they are really crypto enthusiasts.

that's great.. you must write a post or block on your experiences so that awareness about acceptance on bitcoin will rise. you should make documentary film about your journey. of you have clips of experience then you can make it and publish

Wow I would like to try this some time! However now, I think this must have been hard given that not everyone are familiar with Bitcoins. Which means that a lot of stores, especially in countries that do not accept yet totally Bitcoin, are not accepting Bitcoins as payments. Maybe in the future there will be the time that majority or all stores will be open and willing to accept Bitcoin payments.

Can you give some tips on saving money while traveling?

Use different online services for traveling. I like AirBnb a lot for renting apartments for me and the service from https://gettransfer.com/en is really very good for taxi transfers. I think you will like using them too and they will save you some money. Good luck with it Wink

First of all, I did not like localbitcoin Much and it makes complete sense traders try to make a profit so they have their own prices and it's hard to get a cheap deal in there, but it seems you got one. For the second. I do not even like banks and their credit cards and I agree that they do charge a lot of tax but I do not expect them to charge more than local bitcoin. And on the last, it feels good that someone can enjoy by relying on Bitcoins without cash.

I hear enough from inhabitants that it is not money, but the situations like this are proving that it's not true. As I can see, you cope with bitcoins without cash, that means a lot, if we globalize, more and more people will use it. But we can't do it now, because btc is speculated now very much and we need some regulations, because we don't want to buy coffee some day at price 5$ and the other day at 50$.

My journey started on Sep 21, from Boston to NYC, flight to Egypt then Turkey, back to Boston! Carrying $100 just in case and 3 bitcoins in my wallet!

Fuck If I will ever carry credit card, or cash any more:

1- I used Localbitcoins for cash! Search for best local currency rate!
2- How much I save from credit card fees and Fiat exchanges: $305.
3- Is it safe to deal with Localbitcoins in person overseas? Yes, so amazing nice guys, you are making friends Smiley Just stay inside your hotel! Don't leave! Don't invite someone to your room! At the lobby.

You should try it! & $100 stayed with me! and I spent less than 1.9 btc in both countries!!!

Both countries are safe, exchange rate to USD is good, and to Bitcoin is great! Do your own research...

Nothing impossible, you just invest right, use the income to do something very unique! You don't live twice!

I love hearing stories like this because it proves how common bitcoin in our economy right now. I wish more places will be covered with cryptocurency and the number of establishments and industries that supports cryptocurrency will increase in the next years to come. I hope I can live in that society where cryptos are as common as fiat and as important to the society as well.

I am not that shock that you have possibly travelled with just $100 regular money in hand and the rest depends on the amount of Bitcoin you certainly have into your wallet because that was already possible nowadays since there are already many business establishments in different countries who have already accepted and legalized Bitcoin usage who accepts it as a term of payment for goods and services they have offered especially now that the price is totally rising and they better know that accepting it will be a great chance for them to earn larger amount once it hits up the high price during the pump. So practically speaking, it is really possible travelling into different places bringing just $100 in hand and all depends on the value you have into your virtual wallet but still depends on the place you wish to travel if it accepts Bitcoin or not.

I hope I can also travel using bitcoin someday. The amount of money that I earned since I started trading is enough for me to travel. But I always exchange it into fiat before buying something or going anywhere. I still cannot go out without cash on hand and in bank (ATM). I'm a prudent person, I always make sure that I have enough cash for everything I need. I also have an advance plan to where will I spend my money. So travelling with bitcoin is like travelling with uncertain amount of money, it may rise or fall in just a matter of hours, even minutes. But I like that idea, it's also smart to have an extra pocket money in case of emergency.

I kind of envy the author of this topic. He fulfilled my dream. I hope soon to complete these trips will be available. And this can be done by having only a plastic card with bitcoins in your pocket.

This is a very good achievement, you probably already have pretty good knowledge of financial investment and cryptocurrency. This market is not as easy as it seems to be, so the success of this market with small money is a great thing. If you can share your investment for everyone to exchange.

I wish I could do this soon and prove to my friends that bitcoin can be used not only limited to online shopping. This is a good example of a great bitcoiner who achieved and showed to all of us of that there is more in cryptocurrency. I think more stories like this will be told and I am excited to here them. And of course, I am also excited when the time comes that I will experience this.

I am surprised by this story because it is true that the btc = currency but is not easy to change especially if you are traveling, you do not know the places, the language and so on. If it really happened then the spread of the btc is better than I thought.

Yes it's pretty decent for a road trip for up to 2 days. If I get $ 200 because my needs are quite a lot if for roads. What's more until the out of town costs a lot of money so there is no shortage.
