Besides keeping it to raise in value later. There is not much I can do...

With fiat money, I can pay rent, go to restaurants, buy clothes. But with BTC, there is basically no stores that accept them in my country. Sure it's easier online, but then again the stores might not have the best products or is the cheapest/best value.

Am I the only one facing this issue?

I can do all kinds of stuff with my bitcoins here, order food, go eat out in a restaurant. Buy products and services with it.. Just sit on them or try to find a way to make them usefull.

You can do three things with bitcoin.
1.Holding and waiting for the price to hit the moon.
2.Trading cryptocurrencies(you need skills and experience for this).
3.Gambling(i don`t recommend it).
If you wanna buy products with btc you can use purse.io (i`m not promoting it).
Bitcoin is not a currency, bitcoin is a digital financial asset.

You can try to invest, lend or save it for the mean time... if you can convert it to your local currency the better so that you can spend it to your locallity... i think it depends on your wallet.. for us... we have this converted to our local currency and claim it through wire transfer... it is how we done in our country.... so if exchange is not available in your country.. try to contact your friends and relative and let them be the one to exchange it for you then send it you through wire transfer....

its not really an issue you can exchange it in fiat when the value is high then buy anything you want
and buy hold some bitcoin when price is low if you will just keep your money in fiat the value will never rise
but in bitcoin it keep on rising monthly yearly better that what percentage profit any bank can offer

Why not then convert your bitcoin to fiat and used to buy anything that you want? Is this another FUD? If you put everything in bitcoin then of course you can't do anything besides looking as the price go up. That's why you need to invest what you can afford. And I'm sure that you are not the one facing this issue, but member here found ways to used bitcoin in every way they can. You said that its keeps raising in value. Do you have a problem seeing your investment grow?

Bitcoin is the best investments as of now and spending it like a Fiat money will be regretful for me later on because it grows too much fast, so don't spend it if you can. And with your problem it is easily solve by using exchanges that is the use of it, converting your Bitcoin to Fiat and vice versa.

I was about to suggest for you to just hold your BTC because it would increase in tremendous value but then it turns out that OP already knows about it. Why would you find ways to spend it knowing that its better to hodl because bitcoin is good for long term investment. You could just convert it to fiat if you really just want to spend it. Or use it in gambling and trading so that somehow, you'd be able to profit if you had a good chance.

So you already have a lot of bitcoin? In my country, there are also no stores yet that accept bitcoin as a payment. Some online shops are accepting but they are few. Well, in order to use my bitcoin I am converting my bitcoin into fiat. Why don't just do the same thing? Do you know that you/ we can convert it into fiat? If your bitcoin is already a fiat, for sure you will not give that complaint with bitcoin again, not anymore. As of what I have observe in what your posted mean, you do not really understand the real value of bitcoin. It also seems that you are still doubting bitcoin. It's okey, since you are newbie you don't know much more with bitcoin. You don't know how much we (long term bitcoin users) want to have bitcoin. We do everything just to earn it.

lol, having problems on what to do with your bitcoins? you just have to store it and after many months it will become valuable. and you can also buy altcoins and hold it for short term or even in long term. in that case you can increase the volume of you btc by doing trading.

no stores that accept Bitcoin in your country?
a simple way to solve it, just exchange your Bitcoin to FIAT and you can pay rent, go to the restaurant, buy clothes, etc.  Cheesy

in addition, you can use Bitcoin for trading or investment because it can generate profits with it (but this is risky)

You can use your coins to do all the things you just said, I am not kidding, check out the service section and buy and sell goods, just Google which places accept bitcoin and you will be able to use it. Or be like this guy who travelled and paid with bitcoin only.

You can do a lot with bitcoins all, you need to get going, no one is going to help you with that, you need to input efforts, Google and see where you can pay and purchase. Hopefully you will write your success story next time.

I too think that its long-term investment and i'm gathering and holding as much bitcoin as i can but what i can't figure out on my own is when exactly is it time to start enjoying myself with that money. I'd like to spend some of it without regretting it later but its hard when you cant know if the prices are going to stabilize or just keep going up.

I didn't say I have a lot of them . Just some. I do ubderstand the investment value. But yeah turning into fiat is also from that perspective not the best option.

and whose fault is that?

lets say from tomorrow your super told you he is accepting bitcoin as your rent, the restaurants and groceries store and all the shops started accepting bitcoin in your town.

now tell me, in the next month when you go shopping, pay your rent, etc will you be using bitcoin?
the answer in most people is no.

what are you serious ?, you can trade your Bitcoin into cash, if you need it, and of course you can make it into investment, you're a collection now and then you sell it 3 or 7 years ahead ..
