I don't know where "only seen 3 users playing on there" came from, but I would never have noticed so few players. The chat is actually always very well filled and if you look at the "All" tab, where you can track all current bets, you will see that it is often hard to track because so many bets are made.

Yes, and everyone who quoted it without removing or breaking the URL has just increased its chances of scamming someone by doing SEO work for them.

I guess the idea that there are new people in the crypto world with all these exciting prices allows these scammers to get a lot more hungrier because they see new people and they think fresh blood to scam. Obviously you and me or anybody that has been here for a while would know that they are definitely a scam, but someone who is brand new may not know that.

I have seen plenty of phishing websites get away with hundreds of thousands of dollars, not even few hundred or few thousand, hundreds of thousands of dollars, and that was the peak period of binance and people got binance fake phishing brands and advertised it on google and got so many people from it. It would be smarter for google to not rank these higher or get their ads but google usually respond way too late for these as well, if a scam gets ranked, that means google is waaaay too late, it should ban it way before it could ever get ranked.

I've seen that from all tab, go see it right now, there are only few name playing just like i said.  Idc you will believe me or not, it's not my duty to make you believe me though.

I just watched about 30 seconds in the all tab and counted at least 10 different players. This is sometimes not so easy to track because when players play manually, they appear then only very briefly in the list and are immediately displaced by the script/auto rollers again. It is probably also very dependent on the time how many players are currently online and play, for example, on the weekend more users will play than during the week.

TL;DR: The way the bankroll commission rate is calculated is changing. This only affects bankroll investors, so players can skip to the next post.


The intention behind the dynamic commission rate introduced just a few months ago was to reduce the size of the bankroll to a more reasonable one and to find an appropriate commission rate. Today, however, the bankroll is larger than ever. The change clearly isn't fulfilling its purpose, so I am adjusting the formula. At the bankroll's current size of more than $90m this represents a significant increase in the commission rate, which I hope will move investors to realize some of their profits and divest from the bankroll.

Starting on March 2 the commission rate will be calculated like this:

Even though bustadice exclusively uses Bitcoin, the wager volume it sees is stabler in terms of purchasing power. Special drawing rights (XDR) are a currency basket defined by the IMF that consists of USD, EUR, CNY, JPY and GBP. Pegging the commission rate to special drawing rights encourages a reasonable bankroll size regardless of Bitcoin's price without being reliant on any single country's currency.

Despite the huge bets bustabit sometimes sees, more than 99% of its wager volume (!) could be served with a bankroll of "only" $40m. For bustadice, where unlike on bustabit the result of players' bets are not correlated, the number is smaller still. To give a concrete number, I would be happy to see the bankroll decrease by two thirds to about $35m in value. This is what the factor of 80,000,000 XDR targets.

Finally, using the moving average of the exchange rate compensates for the short-term volatility of Bitcoin's price and makes commission rates more predictable.

I owe an apology to bankroll investors for adjusting the formula again so soon. Several people including Ryan suggested incorporating the price of Bitcoin in the calculation back in November, but I wanted to keep things simple and decided on a Bitcoin target instead. Unfortunately the price of Bitcoin had more than doubled less than a month later. With the commission rate now accounting for Bitcoin's price further changes should at most be necessary every few years.

The other significant update I want to announce today affects players as well.

Effective immediately, all users must provide and verify an email address before being able to deposit. The first time a user signs in to an account from a new browser, an authorization link will be sent via email. TOTP-based two-factor authentication will continue to be available as an option for added security.

I realize that this is not only an inconvenience for users but also affects their privacy to a certain degree, so I was hesitant to make this change. However, over the past few weeks phishing attacks on bustabit users have become a much larger problem than they used to be (just read the last few pages of its forum thread). Apart from costing the players that fall victim to these scams a lot of money, phishing threatens to damage bustabit's and bustadice's reputation as many victims end up falsely concluding that bustabit was hacked or even that bustabit itself stole their money.

While I report all phishing domains and apps to their domain registrars, hosting providers and Google as I discover them, it's a losing battle. These companies usually take days or weeks to act and when they finally do the damage is already done. At the same time it takes the scammers only a few hours to upload a new website or app. For this reason I'm afraid requiring email addresses is necessary to protect those users that would otherwise fall victim to these scams.

'Luck'. And he placed almost a million bets, would be very unusual if he didn't score any high multipliers on any of his bets. His ATL was also below his ATH.

Woah, those wins are huge man and I can't imagine how someone feels after winning nearly 1million dollars in a single bet. It must have taken some bankroll and balls to actually try and hit 4k multiplier with 5k bits but he did it and I can only imagine how it feels winning a million dollars in a single bet.

When I checked his profile: https://bustadice.com/player/ttpol he was sitting with a profit of 29BTC which is monumental considering he is chasing such big multipliers and usually when I do that, I lose way more than I win even when I am chasing 100x.

He had a all time high loss of 36+ BTC so its like winning 60 BTC overall, congrats to him!

Woah, those wins are huge man and I can't imagine how someone feels after winning nearly 1million dollars in a single bet. It must have taken some bankroll and balls to actually try and hit 4k multiplier with 5k bits but he did it and I can only imagine how it feels winning a million dollars in a single bet.

That is definitely very strong and I suspect not many of us would have the guts to bet that much BTC. But you should also keep in mind that he is most likely not playing with his entire BTC stack, and that this amout of BTC is probably just "play money" for him. Just like when Joe Doe bets $50 on roulette.

Nevertheless, I can not even imagine the enthusiasm when bustadice shows you that you have actually won

Interesting finding, it shows he's counting and using some kinds of statistics and a martingale IMO. And according to his results it seems to work for him until now. But his amount of bets isn't human, so he must use a bot for that I think.

Interesting finding, it shows he's counting and using some kinds of statistics and a martingale IMO. And according to his results it seems to work for him until now. But his amount of bets isn't human, so he must use a bot for that I think.

We never know, he could use a script (it's no way we can use automatic bet with that way) or he did it by manually. Sometimes, we could find a huge multipler if previous bet multipler is huge too, so he "tried" to hit that multipler with bigger bet.
