ok so I have D3's, L3+'s and even older units, I went o buy on Bitmains site (Damn BCC only check out right now) and it seems its the 13.5 TH version so thats 1323W, their power supply only does 1200W on 110v.

all I have is 110v in that area sooooooooo different power supply? and which? where to buy it? or can I simply not run the S9 on 110v?

Thanks in advance, literally about to buy now (Yes with BCC)

Need to run it on 240(or 208) to get the required power for the S9.

sidehack has good gear

this is the way to go . I recommend 110v to OP, why? because he clearly don't understand the difference between 120 and 220v.

to have two 110v PSU's don't make 220v. it doesn't work like that.

The miners and the PSU are two different things. Miners use DC and PSU needs AC. They transform the AC to DC. Some PSU have a switch so you can select 110 or 220.

good luck

I understand that, but I also read that you can put 2 PSU's (110 or otherwise) on 1 Miner correct?

i think bitmain PSU could handle D3 in USA.

buying bitmain psu's  for usa locations  is just plain stupid.

I can give a dozen  good  psu  sellers located in the usa.

I can not give a dozen  good asic sellers located in the usa.

so

I buy my asic's in china

I buy my psu's in the usa

I know it is possible to show buying a psu from bitmain makes sense  in a few cases it may.

But  I never purchased a single one for them.  and unless they want to send them for free I don't want them.

here is a case

i buy 24 from them  cost me 3000 plus  and I will be paying import tax  so    at least 100 more = 3100 plus

and they do   1200 at 120 or 1600 at 240     so if you have 240  you could run 24 s-9's

I can go to parallel miner   buy 6 of these http://www.parallelminer.com/product/power-supply-kit-for-2-antminer-d3-dash-miners-94-platinum-high-efficiency-200-240v/

for 736.  place 4 separate orders  a day apart total of 24 pieces for under 3000  so I save money and  I have 2400 watts x 24 = 57600  vs  38400  watts.  and delta makes dead solid psu's

Just don't buy psu's from bitmain  if you are in the usa.  and have 240 volts.   or 120 volts

I have just bought a GPU on Ebay. You can look out for AmityLabs for a nice one.
I recommend always to use server level PSU's, they are made to last and to be 24/7 on.
There are A LOT of model and certifications, I would recommend you the platinum level one, they have the best quality output and you will spend less money because they are more efficient.

Just throwing this out there....its not that hard to get a 220 circuit wired up to run a better power supply. Its not like the USA is limited to 110 power only....

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

Just throwing this out there....its not that hard to get a 220 circuit wired up to run a better power supply. Its not like the USA is limited to 110 power only....

yeah 1x    30 amp 220 circuit in your garage   will allow 4 s-9's or 4 avalon 741's   with power to spare

a 30 amp circuit using 10 gauge wire derates to 80% or 24 amps for 24/7/365 use

 so 220 volts x 24 = 5280  watts on the low end

and 240 volts x 24 = 5760 watts on the high end

a used pdu  on eBay is about  40-50 bucks

http://www.ebay.com/itm/252635-001-HP-24A-200-240-Modular-PDU-Control-Unit-228481-002-/222523238399?

4 of these psu's use code slush about 500
http://www.parallelminer.com/product/power-supply-kit-for-2-antminer-d3-dash-miners-94-platinum-high-efficiency-200-240v/

4 of these cables 20 dollars
https://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=102&cp_id=10228&cs_id=1022802&p_id=24206&seq=1&format=2

this wall receptacle 9 dollars
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pass-Seymour-locking-receptacle-L6-30R-MADE-IN-U-S-A-30-amp-250V-twist-lock-/390917364485?

so under 600

plus you need the circuit installed either diy (dangerous do not complain if you die doing it)

or hire an electrician  to put in a 30 amp 240 circuit breaker   using 10 ga wire  and using the plug on eBay above -

cost varies the longer the run it cost more as 10 gauge is not cheap
