Is there any advantage to having Armory run bitcoin-qt?

Aside from usability, I mean?  I tend to prefer running it myself since bitcoin-qt is a much lighter weight client - I have that one running all the time so that my copy of the blockchain will stay up to date, and Armory only when I need to access my wallet.  So I actually prefer the old way of running them separately, but I'm just wondering if there's any advantage to having Armory do it for me, aside from making it easier for the new users.
