Been interested in this project lately and been reading a lot. Very little presence on Bitcointalk yet, I think a lot of folks aren't aware of it and the mere sight on Coinmarketcap isn't enough for them to get interested perhaps

has anyone read an article for why the supple of Cardano is so high? Does it help accomplish the coin's mission? It is instantly a top20 coin based on the ADA supply.

...because it doesn't matter (*).  If the supply is "high" the price will be lower, and you can buy more. And vice versa. If you wish you can think of bitcoins in terms of Satoshis. Then the supply is 2 100 000 000 000 000, but then the price is also 1/100 000 000th of a bitcoin. It all works out fine.


* There may be some technical reasons in some given systems where it matters. I'm not familiar with such, but I am open to the possibility.
* There may be psychological phenomena in play here among some traders. And misunderstandings of how it works. This is relevant to a certain degree I suppose, but it is highly irrational and  it will probably fade away eventually.

It is not in the top20  "based on the supply".

In my opinion, this is well organized road map as it gets. Considering every phase has research papers, subjected to rigorous academic peer review. When you get to r/cadano some people are whinny not having specific dates on the road map. Perhaps people are used to other projects releasing generic road maps at the team's whim. Buying more ADA as it goes down.

Could there be an advantage for the market cap? I am not sure how CoinMarketCap determines the market cap, but I think with such a huge supply a small change in price on little volume could move the coin's ranking on Coinmarketcap faster than a coin with a small supply.

If 1000 ADA are trading for 10 times the average price and it causes the market cap to increase a tenfold too, then Cordano would virtually exceed Litecoin.

I think it's because it really came out of nowhere, suddenly it was listed on bittrex and no one really knew what it was, it's unusual for a coin to achieve success without having a presence on this forum in terms of an ANN thread or a bounty campaign.

It was offered mainly to asian investers, they took that decision since they thought the western market was to saturated with ICOs. The biggest amount of investers are Japanese.

And on the Litecoin thing 2 posts above mine; That is to say that Litecoin doesn't grow, if the whole market stays stagnant and Cardano grows then yes it will eventually exceed all the marketcaps and be number 1. But its likely that Litecoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin will all grow (hopefully) and that Cardano also grows.

They have much more supply that ripple, and this is so strange, anyway, it has been a coin that came from the dust, it just appeared on the top 15 and it is still in there.
I still remember that day in when i checked coinmarketcap and there was this coin that suddenly it appeared in there, and i said, omg, this is the most pumped coin that i have ever seen, because it was in the top 15 without doing anything. But it has been slowly rising, it is a good coin because it seems that it has a lot of supports all around the world.
