For me as an investor is hard to not see a face related to the project, you start thinking that they don’t show the face is because they will run with your money and don't want to be identified.
But in a second thought, I understand their point of view. This is a tricky space in the web, that could easily be associated with illegal content.
I understand the decision to stay anonymous... Some of the big file sharing sites are also anonymous.

I think that will only come once the initial version of the software is released. The project is still in its infancy, so let the team do its magic in releasing a proper 1st version.

Yes, I agree and felt the same way. If this becomes massive in the future (which it's starting to look that way) then I would NOT want that heat on me as well.

Well I hope this will be a long term future and the devs will develop proper the entire application protocols. I have invested some $$$ into this project and only wish I had invested more as it is already rising. Let's see what 2018 will bring.

Innovation is that you will be paid for seeding the files. Isn't it cool enough?

Damn vTorrent is developing their platform for 2 years and did nothing at all.

So it will be stupid to release their code now as vtorrent for example can steal it because they can't achieve for a years what may be UFR team already ahieved.

UFR is expected to give a further update early February (as read over at Reddit). So there is still time to accumulate, unless UFR hits another big(ger) exchange of course.

What is your view around piracy and copyright infringement?
Considering there is money involved, I see potential risk unless the system has a way to tackle it.

We don't support it but we are only the client/protocol - therefore, we don't control what people will share. Any 2 peers can share any files and exchange UFR via the built-in smart contracts.

There will be ways for the community and UFR holders to regulate some of the content in case any inappropriate or copyrighted material is seeded. Some of the details of how this will work can be found in the Whitepaper.

I would like to add that any concern regarding copyright within a system like Upfiring is very similar to criminal activity within the Bitcoin network. It will be difficult to fight in both cases, and ultimately it's always the case that any largely good system comes with some small evil.

Absolutely. Nearly 97% of the coins were burned already:

From 791,000,000 down to 24,000,000 (14,400,000 circulating).  Simple math indicates the price will increase drastically with time as apposed to having 791M circulating coins. The dev's stayed true to their word.

You should ALWAYS do your research before investing so not a stupid question at all.

CONGRATS to all the people that held on while all the fud was being spread around.

UFR just broke the $1.50 mark.   And with a small market cap of only 22M. There are so many sh*t coins out there that have 100's of millions in market cap so we still have a lot of room to grow. This has been accomplished without serious marketing. Slow grassroots growth that is finally being recognized.

The Alpha release is scheduled for the first quarter of this year and UFR is soon to be added on more exchanges (one within the next 2 weeks) so if everything goes well we should be seeing a very nice increase.
