Upfiring 1.1.2 is almost ready for release! Support for larger quantities of files, a new encryption algorithm that will allow for faster and more reliable encryption/decryption, and other stability upgrades will all be featured in this update.

Upfiring 1.2, set to be released on June 17th, features major optimization upgrades that will prepare it for large-scale adoption. It can support hundreds of files and several terabytes of files seeding at once.

There will be a slight delay on the release of Upfiring's version 1.2 due to minor issues with establishing consistent connections for downloads and decryption keys. The estimated delay time is about 1-2 weeks. We will keep the community updated with progress and testing results.

We have made significant progress towards implementing a fix for the download/decryption protocol bugs in Upfiring 1.2. In addition, 1.2 is successfully handling several terabytes wortth of files on the network across all supported operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS).

We have separated downloading/decrypting into separate processes in NodeJS in the Upfiring dapp, as running it in the browser (Electron) was causing issues. In Upfiring 1.2, downloaders will be able to locate files and decryption keys from seeders with high speed and precision.
