I don't think China truly meant to bring Bitcoin down. News came out recently that China is about to come out with cruptocurrency regulations. They also clarified that they don't aim to ban cryptocurrencies, but they want to find ways to stop people from using them for money laundering.

That being said, I agree! The initial news did bring us into $3000 range, but Bitcoin weathered that storm pretty well. We're back on track for $5000.

Certainly seems that way buddy, the price is recovering to where it was pre China news. Wouldn't surprise me if it was all some form of manipulation & China unban bitcoin (after the government has bought loads) which would then make the price fly up again.

China is pretty important to world trade no matter which way you look at it, it has somewhere in the region of 15% of the worlds population. For Bitcoin it has many of the miners and it is a powerhouse in many other regards as well, so when it does something drastic to Bitcoin it does have an impact. However, anything China does will not end Bitcoin - remember it is a global thing - the other 85% will still keep it going...

Even though China is a pretty big part of bitcoin, it is big enough to be bitcoin ITSELF.

As bitcoin is decentralized, even if a country completely bans bitcoin it has absolutely no effect on the rest of the users. Plus, china hasn't actually banned bitcoin. It has banned ICOs and exchanges, that's it. This is why i think people are still buying into bitcoin even though China has done what it has done. They realize now the beauty of bitcoin - the decentralization.

So yeah, i absolutely agree with you. China nor any other country can bring down bitcoin. Nobody can.

Well, bitcoin is all over the world. Not even a big country can bring the bitcoin down. That's the main thing about bitcoin: no governement will have enough power to control it.

Yes of course! I agree with you! Bitcoin itself has already rooted into our economy and into the crypto world. It will not easily fall down just because one country. Because Bitcoin is decentralized, no one can control it. Not even the governments. I would say too, bitcoin is unstoppable! Bitcoin shall live longer and will make us richer than before.

Not sure. FYI China is back just with a new set of rules on their exchanges. China will be influential again in crypto but for now the news means Chinese will be bullish again on crypto.

China has a big influence on bitcoin, next time they decide to sneeze, there will be another significant drop in bitcoin's value.

Luckily the effects never last for too long Smiley

This is what I have been saying all along. While we would welcome China back if ever the government would decide to lift the ban, it should be noted that Bitcoin can all survive and prosper even without the presence of China. Though it is indeed a very big market with lots of potential underutilized, Bitcoin can even be better without China as it can be a big source of big headaches anytime.

China is a different country with a different kind of mind-set which many of us can find hard to fathom. This can be the reason why we have so many ideas, opinions and speculations even up to now. Anyway, all of the things that transpired were now water under the bridge. Let's finally move on...without China!

Long live, Bitcoin!

In the first place, why think that China have a purpose to bring down bitcoin? China's movement , actions , policies and future doings can give an impact on the bitcoin price movement whether by going up or down and we seen that many times. But in the end what happen? Just a few period of resistance and correction period then the price will set up again another journey upwards.

Just relax and just go with the flow since that's all we can do. If you are positive about the outcome of the bitcoin then no bad news can break your spirit.

China can stop their citizen from mining, China can stop their citizen from bitcoin trading, but China can't stop the Bitcoin from running around the globe, as we all know that it circulating supply of bitcoin today has almost reach to 80 percent of it maximum supply to 20 million approximately 16 million had mined to this date. No countries or government can bring down the bitcoin , it is like flowing in the blood of internet , this is where the lifeline of the bitcoin holds. The blockchain supports, the investors and the miners would not allow the bitcoin to bring it down as its infrascture investment was high, that's billion dollar of investment in total and that's too big to take down.Unless the bitcoin was as small as some newbie altcoins, where small investments can able to handle the losses.

They are not the only user of bitcoin therefore even China is a big Country they can't bring bitcoin down to its knees.
If small countries will unite in using bitcoins they will become bigger than China.

Its indeed a heaven gift that Chinese people dropped their btc due to ico bans ,so we are enjoying the fear of huge btc dumps. China is no longer the world's most btc holder.

First of all apparently no country whether it's China or South Korea or any other country is not against bitcoin but it's the misuse of it which almost all the countries are scared of. Secondly I don't think that news like China ico ban and South Korea planning to do the same can have any bad effect on bitcoin for long. There are many more countries which still admire and like the idea of bitcoin and hence the bitcoin community is growing daily and therefore neither China or any other country alone can cause bitcoin to disappear from the world.

Even though the China is the earliest country that mine and adopted bitcoin they still ban it but it is a proof for us bitcoin enthusiasts or users that there is nothing can stop bitcoin even the early bird country; china. Bitcoin can still walk by its own without the help of chinese people and i think that once the progress of bitcoin will become better and better then it will be a regret for china for banning bitcoin and they might take back the decision and accept bitcoin again.

There's no more excuse for that, they've closed all bitcoin exchangers. certainly no more bitcoin transactions in china maybe they can still support the growth of crypto currency because they do not prohibit bitcoin mining.
