Well, his group buy post did say sign the message when sending coins. I did not and he did not say a single word about it. He had no problem taking my coins. Now thats its time to deliver he wants to be an a**hole about it. After i figured out the difference between receiving and sending address i did provide him my signed message with my sending address. Blame me for being new if you want. He is wrong to treat me like this and sell the equipment i paid for at a profit.

You might want to read up on how BTC works, hint it's kinda like the mail.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I never said that and I do not think that, but from the way that Canary posted his reply regarding doing business with you, it seems like you really pissed him off and now refuses to do business with you ever again.

In addition you are the one that is getting emotional about this, he..... not so much.

How can I, I do not know either side's story.

You missed the point, It's business, take all emotion out of it.

You went completely mental and to us it looks like you are trying to sell something in PM only no pricing, probably no escrow etc that may or may not have, thus looking to us from the outside that you are trying to scam folks on this board.

Hey Canary, I just sent you a PM with the information from the signed message including my shipping address. I roughly followed directions for signing from another thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=195052.msg2025931#msg2025931

Please confirm that you have all the information to send the USB miner to me or if you need more info.

Appreciated!

He emailed me and asked me to sign a message with my address. I did not know how. After a few emails i signed my message with my receiving address instead of my sending address. I sent him more PM's than he wanted to receive from me. We both got aggravated and he stopped responding to my PM's. He has been selling the equipment i paid for at a profit while i have been PMing him. He did not return my coins until i made this public. He would have scammed me if i didnt find this thread and make this public.

I think it would be asking too much for Canary to have to send multiple PM's to each purchaser of the hundreds and hundreds of miners he has been kind enough to manage.
However, I also realize it would be frustrating to have gone through the process of paying for miners in Batch 1 and now feel out in the cold while others are getting their shipments.
The whole "emailing the exact text of the signed message" is confusing and the Bitcoin client box says "Enter a Bitcoin address." It should say "Enter one of possibly several sending addresses which aren't listed under Transactions." Clearly requires a learning curve.  Personal attacks are unfortunate.

Interesting...  I too had a question about signing a message, and canary was prompt and concise with their response, and we both got the information we each needed from the other.  3 or 4 pm's total, all kind and to the point.

so far, canary has a +1 in my book.

+1 here too. he's been super responsive, both in responding to PMs and in shipping orders.

No longer buying/selling Casascius coins. Beware scammers.

Excuse me canary, i sent you 19.90 BTC for 10 USB miners. Why are you selling the equipment i paid for?

He said in another post that you refused to provide him with a signed message.

I think they should increase the posting privilege time from 4 hours to 1 day for new registrations. If people are too lazy to Google for answers then at least they will spend time reading a few more messages here.
