I am worried about Neural Repair once he wakes up, so I am here to ask you guys:
What herbs, drugs, vitamins or nootropic support Neural Repair?

And I will share what I have found:
Vitamin C, Folic Acid, B6, B12, Vitamin E, Vitamin D, Ginger & Omega-3 all support neural repair.

AND

The CB1 receptor in the human brain is related to fear, anxiety, memory and addiction (according to recent studies) and apparently when Cannabis acts on this receptor, it promotes "Neurogenesis".

Neurogenesis is where new brain/neural cells are "birthed", and it can even happen in adults. When these cells are born, it makes new & stronger neural pathways. Which basically translates to stronger brain activity.

I also just did some reading, and I found that in Israel they have increased success rate with brain trauma patients by 26% (reducing swelling, waking from coma, etc) using a Cannabinoid.
They did a trial across 6 clinics.

They are using 1 specific synthetic cannabinoid that they developed, but there are Israeli doctors who are saying that it would be fine to use other Cannabinoids to treat patients.

And studies show that cannabinoids help prevent any damage to the brain as well.

I live in Colorado, so hopefully the future will be bright Smiley

Sorry to hear about this.

I no doubt have brain trauma from major bicycle injuries, falling off bicycles "dirt rider" and getting hit by cars, skull fractures, and given ridilin when I was a child, also some other stuff that I got into when I was a teen I won't say. I just got on omega-3, been on it for a month now, it did not effect me at first, but about into 3 weeks to now, I've noticed a big difference from not using omega-3 to using omega-3. Just throwing my thoughts out there on about omega-3.

Thank you for sharing your experience, very helpful.

I was reading on Bluelight about brain trauma, and people over there seem to think Cannabis has helped them too. And I will definitely look into omega three, I already read a little about it in this aspect.

Google resulted bluelight to [Is this what you're speaking of?] bluelight.ru

Any good results as in reply's?

This is a good subject, imo.

I've been doing some research and found some more Neurogenesis promoters:

Flavonoids- Such as Chocolate & Bueberries
MAOIs- Such as anti-depressants, or Syrian Rue
EGCG- Found in green tea
Zinc- Simply helps the process occur & promotes general brain health.
Vitamin A- Same as Zinc, but not directly. It breaks down into something needed for Neurogenesis
Ashitaba- Just read it, I don't know anything about it
Piracetam and other AMPA Nootropics

There are also some papers that have studied the effect of taurine on Alzheimer's patients.  Taurine helps to balance the Ca levels, and reduces "excitotoxicity" in Alzheimer's.  I have not looked at any literature regarding trauma.

I try to be respectful and informed.

I also discovered a few other interesting things:

There is something called Synaptogenesis where the neural pathways you have are strengthened, and work to connect to old neural pathways to make them work again.

Wish you and your friend good luck. He's gonna need as much as possible to get better faster. Hold on and keep searching for the drugs, herbs and other stuff that'll help him recover. Can't really help because I am a complete noob in this topic.
