Hi Ladies and Gentlemen, sorry that i have to post this to the "Newbie" section, but i`m not allowed to put it into some other part of the board. I want to advertise some new Bitcoin ASIC miner, build completely on our own except the main chip (Avalon). We call it "theASIC". It is able to mine with around 6 to 7 GH/s at a power usage of 70 Watt. Onboard there`s some kind of embedded hardware which allows mining without a additional running computer, if you are running more than two devices, you may chain them via HDMI. At the moment, ~140 devices are availible in a maximum of two weeks, these are just getting produced by our partners! We already have some of them working at our company for testing and mining. You are able to buy it on our web page ( www.theasic.com, please order through our contact page), it is 3.2Bitcoins for one device with flat shipping fee (to all countries!)! If you have any questions, dont hesitate to ask! Have a nice day, Tom

It is able to mine with around 6 to 7 GH/s at a power usage of 70 Watt.
But the website says 5.5 GH/s. Which is it? Onboard there`s some kind of embedded hardware which allows mining without a additional running computer, if you are running more than two devices, you may chain them via HDMI.
Daisy chaining via HDMI? Even if it's possible, why? Could you post a video of your device hashing? How long have the boards been running without issues? Also fixing the English on your website would go a long way towards people trusting you. Cheers

Hi, It is able to mine with around 6 to 7 GH/s at a power usage of 70 Watt.
But the website says 5.5 GH/s. Which is it? With the newest optimized firmware we are getting 6-7 GH/s (depends on the device). We will update this information if its tested enough! Onboard there`s some kind of embedded hardware which allows mining without a additional running computer, if you are running more than two devices, you may chain them via HDMI.
Daisy chaining via HDMI? Even if it's possible, why? Yes! When using two devices with the chaining feature, the device gets controlled by a primary device, the embedded hardware on the other devices will be switched off to save some power. Could you post a video of your device hashing? How long have the boards been running without issues? Also fixing the English on your website would go a long way towards people trusting you.
Cheers
I will post some videos of our device later. Sorry, as we are a chinese based company, it may be possible to have some typos on our website. I will tell it to the responsible employee! Thanks for the tip! Tom

Man, the scams are rolling right in the door today.
Tons of newbies want people to fork over 10's of thousands of dollars.
If theASIC is real, much love to em'. If not, join the crowd.

BS, they've just read about BFL's proposed 2gh/s firmware upgrade and decided to build a product looking similar to a Jalapeño around not fully understanding what a firmware upgrade is.
Then dropped Avalon's namesake for added confusion.
This is one of the more idiotic scams...

In their FAQ, they say they can make and honor without delay the first 80 orders. NOTE: As we have received some Avalons, we are proud to annouce, that the first 80 devices are ready for shipping! Read more at "Products"! I contacted them, but did not recieve a confirmation mail ...

From their FAQ: "theASIC can only be bought via Bitcoins, as we greatly enjoy this kind of currency."
For sure that is true. Unlike the rest of this scam.

Hello everbody,
i can assure, that theASIC isn`t scam. The embedded board which is controlling theASIC is definitly based on a (modified) PandaBoard solution (to get the chaining feature, the power supply etc.). It`s also no classic "firmware" update of which i`m talking about, it`s the OS and applications on this embedded board which are going to be upgraded.
I will post a video tomorrow, as i don`t have a device at home and saturday is rather my family-day AND because of this: I don`t tolerate to call us scammer, as we were really working extremly hard developing this device (which works really fine btw.). It costs us much time and a lot of money. If you don`t have faith in us - just don`t order a device, thats not my problem. I think you forum haters will also call BFL and Avalon a scammer, because you haven`t order sufficiently early enough, now are in a waiting queue and now make yours problem to them.
Greets,
Tom

Sold me right here. Seems legit. Hey, I'm sure he just doesn't want to give away the secret. If he told us what the secret kind of embedded hardware was, we'd all just order a PandaBoard ES and make our own. You know, kind of like the formula for Coke, or the colonel's secret fried chicken recipe. I'm sure that's why he's being vague and saying things like "some kind of embedded hadware", and "it`s the OS and applications on this embedded board which are going to be upgraded". Makes perfect sense. Stop trying to steal his secrets!

I'll bite. Why did you remove the audio jacks? Why not just leave them on the Panda board? Why would a Panda board need a CPU heat sink on top of it? ©2013 theasic.com | Shunda Co., Limited | Rm 23D, Block A, Duhui Bldg, Zhonghang Rd, Futian Dist, Shenzhen | support@theasic.comWhy are you copying another hardware companies address?
