Metalleum (MET) is a decentralized cryptocurrency for trading, holding and selling precious metals. Metalleum (MET) will be released based on the Ethereum blockchain platform. Our aim is to simplify and secure the process of owning and trading precious metals. Metalleum will be used to hold precious metals such as gold and silver, in the form of a digital token, as well as allowing investors to trade between precious metals with our token.

Metalleum, as is the nature of cryptocurrencies, highly portable. Our token runs on Ethereum Blockchain giving the ability to be stored on any Ethereum wallet. In the future, wallets will be developed specifically for Metalleum- both a desktop and mobile versions will be available. This is planned to increase the portability and reliability of Metalleum; enabling exchanges of precious metals and Metalleum to happen anywhere in the world, as long as an internet connection is established. Our platform will be built upon on three ideas – the ability to receive precious metals on demand with Metalleum tokens, integration with previously established precious metal stores, and the ease of the transferring precious metals to other metals.

1 November 2017 - The ICO for Metalleum begins in an effort to raise the necessary funds to develop and maintain the project.
1 December 2017 - The ICO for Metalleum ends. The coin will begin to be listed on various exchanges.
In January 2018 - Exchanges between precious metals and Metalleum will be made available.
In February 2018 - The official Metalleum wallet will be released - available online and for download.
2018 - Specific Metalleum bars and coins will be available for purchase. These will be pure silver, gold, platinum, palladium or rhodium, and will contain a set amount of Metalleum.

Due to the current scale of our project we have little development members, as such we are hoping to grow through our crowdfunding, to employ and further develop Metalleum as a cryptocurrency. However I do not agree you on this being a scam, us not showing our development team doesn't show that we are illegitimate; numerous legitimate cryptocurrencies have done the same (Bitcoin for example). However, we believe early adopters of a new cryptocurrency should be willing to take risks, if they do believe in the ideology of a project, likewise short term and long term investors must take risk in order to see returns. We need large amount of funding for the project for it to come to fruition. At present ,Metalleum is not a vault or a dealer for precious metals. Our product is made to solve issues within the precious market, as explained on our website and whitepaper. Without funding we simply can not make it happen.

Thanks for the input! We do have more infomation available on our website. A high target is unavoidable due to the cost of precious metals, however we will consider reducing our maximum input to increase consumer confidence.

If you don't mind can you please elaborate on what is meant by ''real company''. Metalleum is a real business, just look at our website. To be honest, our legitimacy is hard to prove, as we haven't revealed our dev team etc, but feel free to take a look at our whitepaper, where the risks on investment are explained. As with any ICO investing in Metalleum does carry risk, but for our token to hold any monetary value, we need people to adopt our cryptocurrency, the ICO is an opportunity for investors to purchase under future market prices.

To explain what we mean by, ''based on holding and selling precious metals'', we aim to improve the process of these actions by substituting fiat currency for a more private and secure token. This makes it easier for people to trade between different types of precious metals, using Metalleum as the medium.
