I've been out of the mining game for a while, but it is cooling off here in the Northern hemisphere and I have been looking over at the old BFL single gathering dust on a shelf (purchase of this bit of kit was one of the worst decisions of my life, but that's another story).  I was wondering if anyone has tried mining bitcoin cash with one of these.  I know, as a first gen ASIC, it won't probably be profitable, but I have to pay for heat anyway...why not make the heater work?

It's been a while so I'm a bit rusty, I'm thinking I have to get BFGMiner working again, and reinstall the BFL GUI, whatever it was called, and find a suitable pool to point it at, and noodle with the string syntax till it works.

On the pool subject, does anyone know of a BCH pool that lets you run up a balance and not payout constantly to a local wallet?  I want to let the dust settle a while longer before I trust a BCH wallet.

Any reminders or ideas about getting this setup running would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance   Smiley

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable.
Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.
