Goldman Sachs, one of the world’s largest investment banks, is exploring the possibility of introducing a new trading operations based on cryptocurrencies. This is a response to what the spokesperson described as “client interest in digital currencies”. The Wall Street Journal explains that the study is ongoing and may not yield any results.
Both the currency trading department and the Bank’s strategic investment group are taking part in research on such opportunities.
