Is it still illegal if you are going to plant your own cannabis for self consumption? Without any plans of selling it just for own use. Considering in some countries medical marijuana is already accepted.

If recreational use is illegal in your country, you're going to run into all sorts of trouble. That falls under illegal possession, I believe. I know some people who do this, but you have to be very discreet.

There are some plants in that no matter how you try to sugar coat it, its not allowed. Its like saying you want to get a baby tiger and start rearing it so far its in your compound, it wont be allowed. Cannabis is a dangerous plant that will not be allowed under any guise by a country that has declared it illegal. Just like you wont be allowed to commit suicide despite its your life so also we wont allow you grow cannabis.

I want to believe you are in a country where possession of cannabis is been legalize if not then i think there is a problem because if the legislative instrument does not permit cannabis possession it doesnt matter whether it is for your own use or selling or even exporting and giving the money to the government. You just not allowed to possess it. In my country people's blood sample are tested for cannabis before placed in public positions since we believe consumption influence decisions to some extend.

You should check your local regulations. As far as I know, in Spain it is illegal to sell it, but you are allowed to have a small quantity for self-consume. So goes for the plant you can but there is a maximum, you have to check local laws

I live in a country where cannabis can be found on wild. Its used for curing different disease of cattle. So, you will have no problem being caught with a little amount of cannabis. But still human uses are crime.

Of course it is illegal. If the law says so then despite what you may think you are doing morally it is still against the law. This may be subject to change in the future and regulation with medical and recreational marijuana.

In my country, currently it is illegal to grow your own plant but in less than a year as we gear up towards recreational legalization they say you will be able to grow your own plants at home! I wait for such a sweet day

It depends on the country you live in, in the UK it is not legal, in Spain it is legal, these are the only two countries I have lived in so I do not know about any others.

I think that it is legal in certain countries such as Uruguay. And many more countries are considering legalizing marijuana. It helps the government a lot. If soft drugs such as marijuana are legalized, then the youth is less likely to consume hard drugs such as heroin and cocaine. Also, it will destroy the financials of the drug cartels.

Planting marijuana in my country is an illegal act and violates applicable law and laws, with mild punishment, very different from some European and American countries, that is the consideration of the marijuana in my country, but reversed all current restrictions and laws of cultivators continue to innovate and struggle for the legality of marijuana cultivation in my country.

In some places it's legal, in most of other places it's illegal. But that won't last forever.
BTW at first while reading the title of this thread iìve read "Planning cannnibals for self consumption" - which is which attracted my attention.

If you are living in a country where  marijuana is legal, then I guess you can plant as many MJs as you wish. But if you are not, then you will still be penalized for illegal possession of dangerous drugs or substances. Whether for medical or personal use, if it is illegal then you willbe arrested.
