Below, we'll give you a quick intro, recap the successful completion of our ICO, and review some of the exciting things happening in the future:
About Substratum: Purpose & Vision: Substratum is developing an open-source foundation for the decentralized web, providing free and unrestricted access to content for a new Web 3.0.
- The Substratum Network will be a worldwide collection of nodes that uses industry-leading cryptography to deliver secure content anywhere, all without the need for VPNs or Tor.
- No special software required for the average consuming users computer. Default browser works (Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer).
- Our aim is to revolutionize the hosting industry with per-request billing via micro-transactions. These will all handled by blockchain technology and artificial intelligence.
- With Substratum, anyone will be able to offer their computing resources and earn cryptocurrency for providing those services.
- Remove Internet Censorship: For restricted areas such as China and North Korea, they will earn a higher rate for providing services inside those areas due to the higher inherent nature of risk. Substratum's vision is nothing less than democratizing and encouraging the flow of information amongst the global population without restrictions, true net neutrality. ICO Recap: The ICO was successfully concluded on September 18, 2017 and
raised 13.8 MIL USD and we also raised an additional 373.94 ETH to be donated to the hurricane relief. Thank you again and we are very proud of the community and grateful for these two totals.
Updates & Next steps:
- We are building out and complimenting the Substratum core team including adding new members such as additional world-class developers and high-end cryptographers.
- Substratum UI is getting a fantastic revamp in design
- New website is also being developed
- As many have noticed, we've also started testing the backbone of the Substratum Network with 60M Sub required for running the network being transferred to the System Account.
- Near future goals include continual development of both our main and side blockchains and further testing of the backend of Substratum network.
These efforts should result in the Beta release and community beta testing this December. - Another focus to help drive adoption is identifying and building strategic partnerships with businesses and organizations in key areas
Exchanges & Trading: - SUB is currently being traded on EtherDelta, and has recently been added two new exchanges in the last week, CossIO and Tidex.
On Coss IO, pairs traded are BTC/SUB and ETH/SUB. On Tidex, the pair is SUB/BTC. You can trade SUB on these exchanges by visiting their websites. We are also working diligently to get listed on your favorite high-volume exchanges and will provide more details as soon as they are confirmed.
