What do you guys think?
Price is quite low at $5.14
how is it low when you could bought salt couple of months ago in pre-ICO for 0.25$ ? Is this information correct? Can someone confirm what was the price during the pre ICO and during ICO? I also bought some because I like the roadmap and the team, but I didn't look at the ICO price. I really doubt it was 0.25 USD. Someone said 10 USD, so what was it?

Okay, the whole idea of SALT is that one buys membership, stores btc and lends some fiat, right? And then there's a term to pay it back. BTC held is like a guarantee that you'll pay back, or otherwise you can lose it, right? As it is built on smart contract, I guess it's really nice and a lot better than the usual pawnshops. The dev team seems to be quite fair as well. Yet, as for the price, I guess you should wait more. I believe it will fall once again, because the coin's really new and needs time to stabilize. I think you should go for it, just not now.

Someone said 10 USD, so what was it? it is all there in the official SALT topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2051305.0Previously in the pre-sale approximately 10 million SALT were sold at $1:50. Early adopters who assisted with the build out of the concept were also able to purchase earlier in the year approximately 35 million SALT at $0.25 and 5 million SALT at $0.75.

Salt Team price 25-75 cents
Private sale price $1.50
ICO price started at $3 and tiered to $12
Retail Price went as high as $25
I believe team tokens are locked. Private sale investors just dumped.

Sadly but I hope prices will rise soon especially if BTC rises.

SALT price has come down to $4. Circulating supply is now over 54 million. Not sure if all the sold tokens in ICO are now in circulation. Bought some more at this price.

I went in again as well. In SALTs AMA on Reddit they state they plan to buyback tokens if it falls below membership price? Not sure exactly what that is or means but it will be very reassuring to see them act on it.

Price still bouncing around $4. Early to say but should be the bottom if it goes up towards $5 from here. Hoping this weekend marks the bottom.

It definitely does seem undervalued at the moment. I would not be surprised if in a month or two it spikes but that is just what I think will happen with a platform such as this. Lest we forget the team is great, and they are
abiding by all regulations in the USA. In my opinion, if you can get USA investors your already a step in the right direction. I guess we will see in a few weeks time what happens to the price point as it stabilizes.

Can you tell me about what you mean about the low volume prices? https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/salt/ The 24 hours trade volume is awesome that means a lot of people are buying it right now. So just waiting for your answer about that

On the contrary, I still consider it very high for SALT. Cryptocurrency lending projects are getting competitive these days. Projects in line with this are now being launched one after the other. NIMFAMONEY is one of them, right? Their ICO even is not that great. So, I don't think it will become higher in value soon.

SALT lending platform will launch in next 2-3 months so price should rise into that news. The retail price of these tokens on SALT website will be $25 so it has room to rise.

It's $$6.xx now. There was one time where if drops below $3/4, if you don't panic and hold based on the time you posted your thread, regardless if it's satoshi value went down. You would have earn 10-20% right now if you sell it off

Am I thinking this right?
If you want to get loan, you have to buy Salt coin. I would assume that if coin is valued somewhere about 100$, it may affect to the popularity of loan takers.
Total supply is 120million coins and circulating supply is 51million coins. If Salt starts to gain higher price, they just have to release some coins and price automatically goes down? So basicly is there any way that this coin can be example $100 dollars or do they intentionally want to keep price at lower point?
Sorry for my English and hope you get my point.

Some people picked this up quite cheap @ $1.50 in the initial sale but its still around final tier crowd sale price at present $7.50 ~ Ripple is the biggest rival. It will be super if it goes into working condition soon.
Why the comparison to Ripple (XRP) and not other P2P lending platforms?

Like the business model, might become very relevant if we continue rising this market cap to the trillions soon...
What are competitors to look at to better evaluate the market place?

This is about lending market which is very hot trend currently. And SALT have it separate market for SALT membership can buy things at affortable price. Such as they are planing to sell Ledger Nano S cost 5 SALT (certainly only for member who pay 100 SALT membership fee) That's reall fuck good deal now. We still have 2 which remain in Dec, let's wait and see what's going on with SALT once they announce their main platform.
