I've changed and lengthned my password, and Gox say I should now file a police report and have them contact Gox, but what can we do here?

What information I can give can be used for tracking down the theif?

You shouldn't have left your money with Gox to begin with. Blockchain.info's online wallets appear to be the most secure. You could have also downloaded the Electrum client. Doing so would relieve you of having to worry about HD space for the blockchain. Plus you could take your client with you anywhere and connect it on any computer (as long as it's safe and secure). I reccomend you download an AV software for your PC.

That's probably the best thing that you can do right now.

IP & Bitcoin address, however I'm afraid there is rarely anything you can do.

I'll avoid using my Windows device at all now I've changed the password, I generally only use IOS devices IPhone and IPad.

This is in MTGox in infos, It's my address, I think it's used to deposit BTC.
1BuXWavx8jYdGscjDS1wc5S6ec7RvcPRX7

The IP of a device I use to access Gox is 94.197.127.60, I do not know how static this is.

What IP is needed?

MtGox will provide the IP address of the computer the hacker used.

2factor would have probably helped you as well....just saying.

I haven't heard of many people who had their coins stolen if they are using google 2factor and they lock down their Gox security settings.

That's your fault. Blockchain.info allows you to keep control of your own private keys, the only way your blockchain account can be hacked is if someone gets your password, hence it being your fault.

You should only ever be using Gox for buying or selling BTC, but with increasing crackdowns on them by government forces they're slowly becoming less reliable as our options to wire money to accounts are diminishing. BitInstant is great for making immediate purchase(s).

I guess I've got to find a police station, but, that has occurred to me, how am I going to communicate this to them.

I'll start by showing the email instructing me to file the report.
