I don't think so. People will always be greedy when it comes to money. If it can be really deleted, the politicians who are in their own position must have done it but there's no one who can start it because of money. They are grabbing their opportunity to be wealthy. Not only in the government but even in offices, for example, bringing home new bond paper and other stuffs is a corruption. People will do things for their benefit.

I don't think it can be deleted totally, it could be legitimized or hidden. People are always greedy. As cryptocurrency is more and more popular, government officials can accept bitcoin or eth for bribery which makes it more difficult to track down the corruption. In the past I need a case to hold 1 millions dollars cash, but how about 100 bitcoin now?

You are right. The cull needs to be started from the top. Rather than targeting the lower-rung officials, we should go after the elected officials who are engaging in high-level corruption. If the most powerful are punished, then the lower-rung officials will realize that no one is safe from prosecution and most of them would stop taking bribes by default.
