Hi all,

Just got into Bitcoin via a good friend of mine who is an early adopter. Anyhow, I am still getting the hang of how to do things and learning.

So last night, I went ahead and withdrew 14 bitcoins from my MTGOX account to my local Bitcoin QT wallet. I used an already existing address that I had used a couple of days ago with no problem. This transaction was done around 1am Pacific time US. I have still not received my coins. I checked my MT.Gox transactional history and it shows the withdrawal and the fee I paid for immediate expediting.

I checked blockchaininfo and my transaction is not coming up. I also read up on the MTGOX FAQ and it states it can take up to 24 hours for some transactions to show up. Triple checked the addresses on both sides and they are identical. I even did another transaction between my wallet and Coinbase and it worked immediately (using a different address though).

Did I do something wrong? Is this something I should be concerned about?

Thanks for any tips or info.

Problem resolved. It appears some transactions can take a lot longer than 10 seconds.

So it took almost a day? It seems the extra fee is waste then, the free option would be as fast as yours

Had exactly the same problem, made a 2nd transaction which went through faster. Way after that, the first one arrived in my local wallet.

Right? It would appear that way. It did come true in almost around 8-9 hours. Needless to say, it was nerve-wracking.
I wonder, if MT.Gox did make a mistake on their end, would my coins be refunded? I know if mistakenly send it to wrong person, well then I am to blame have would have no recourse.

Anyhow, relieved. Cheesy
