I notice that none of the Sentry team have linkdin profiles...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2221783.msg22573416#msg22573416

That's a big red flag to me. I can only think of a few reasons why the main players in a business venture would not be found in LinkedIn. And none of those would shine a positive light on anything...

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Very good discussion you guys are all very right, because I also got registered and I start suspicious with dev he always lure us to tread on his ANN via DISCORD, their trick is very cunning, luckily I realized and after that I delete all my tread there.

By the looks of it, it's a scam. Check the profiles. They look hastily made and poorly marketed.
It's rare to see their advertising anywhere, and I just don't comprehend their strategy

They deleted my post on their main thread asking if anyone thought it might be a scam

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2221783.new#new

Escrow was implemented for the bounty campaign, maybe this proves that the team are really serious on making this project succeed.

Perhaps. But deleting someone who poses a legitimate doubt on such a delicate issue shows a high anxiety, it means they have no other argument to oppose to the claim that they may be a scam. Red flag for me.

This is not the first time I will read a thread trying to call Sentry a scam or looking for evidence on the team, this is a dicy thing becasue it is easy for false information to flow around, I could remember during Qtum ICO I decided not to participate in their ICO because of the scam allegation but now it is doing fine and Bitclave team is building their project on the platform which I think is a huge thing for the team

I can affirm this is a scam. I was kicked from discord when I was about to ask the "dev" to prove his authenticity.

I threw a few bucks at it so I dont really mind but I feel really bad for the guy who dropped 30 ETH, he was really nice in the discord. What goes around comes around though.

I feel so bad for the guy with 30 eth. You have no idea how much he didnt deserve it. and just lookiing at his ether address goes to show how distressing it will be for him... he put his whole entire portfolio in hopes of that project.. straight from bittrex.

Yes, now I am completely sure that Sentry is a scam, IMHO. I have posted three times on their thread, the first two posts were positive since the project "sounded" cool. But as soon as I have cast some doubts in the 3rd message they have deleted all three messages. And I guess they are deleting all messages of everyone who is smelling a scam. This is for me the proof that IT IS a scam, and not even a very well done one.

Judge for yourselves, these are my first positive messages (that they deleted as well):

Quote
This project could potentially become really huge, it is intriguing. What I don't understand is why you've chosen to do a quite limited bounty campaign - if too many people will apply and get accepted, rewards will shrink perhaps too much...
Because we believe good projects get the attention they deserve without large bounties.

I must agree this sounds perfectly reasonable Smiley As a bounty hunter of course I feel sorry because I can't get my little slice of pie through my work, so that I will be forced to buy it from the ICO or from the market Smiley
and this is the third message, were I'm answering to someone who was smelling fishy too:

Quote
The project seems nice but no website yet? Except for reading ICO address on Etherscan, how do we know how many tokens have been sold? A website is a basic step for a proper ICO and it's not so hard to be done I think.

True. When you are asking money to investors having a website to start with gives a sense of a long term planning. In fact the absence of a website would send out the opposite message...
As you see, even a mildly critical message was too dangerous for them and they have erased everything.
Beware, people, beware...

It's done.

They deleted everything and moved to another thread.

Feel bad for people who ignored warning and invested:

This is definitely a scam, I had this conversation with them on their new discord server, at which point it was promptly closed:
