Yes, you can mining more than one crypto-currency, only decrease your mining power, mine two crypto-currency, will be 50% for each in the mining power (hash/s)

You notice more crypto-currencies of cryptonight algorithm having fall because they are few compared to the scrypt algorithm, LiteMonero will have a different path.
