Indeed. Socialization is one of the negative impacts of social media. Since we usually communicate in social media, we lack to socialize in our real world. Besides it impacts the use of our languge. We tend to speak informal language instead of formal language.

For this reason, we have started to loose social communication. Digital  communication has taken place instead of physical communication. The impact of social media has 2 side bad and good impact.
Using social media Web sites is among the most common activity of today's children and adolescents. Any Web site that allows social interaction is considered a social media site, including social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter; gaming sites and virtual worlds such as Club Penguin, Second Life, and the Sims; video sites such as YouTube; and blogs. Such sites offer today's youth a portal for entertainment and communication and have grown exponentially in recent years.

The Benefits was:
Social media sites allow teens to accomplish online many of the tasks that are important to them offline: staying connected with friends and family, making new friends, sharing pictures, and exchanging ideas. Social media participation also can offer adolescents deeper benefits that extend into their view of self, community, and the world.

The risk was:
-Cyberbullying and Online Harassment
-Sexting, can be defined as “sending, receiving, or forwarding sexually explicit messages, photographs, or images via cell phone, computer, or other digital devices.
-Privacy concerns and digital footprint

My opinion everything must be balance in our life, use your social media wisely.

    just imagine , a mother and a father ; first the mother stay at home and register all the information at home , she s not going to much outside and just follow just what she heard from people she see in the neighboorhood , at the end of the day , the men bring informations from  outside , he lived those things so he know , the value of the information ,

 so for me , for important news , people should based them researches on others sources to get sure of what they are looking for ...

I agree, the impact is rather negative. Sometimes the lack of information is better than its excess

The impact of social media is negative.  It can brainwash people.  It can change their perspectives in life.  It can make you bieve everything they want you to believe. It makes us judge easily by just sending or posting photos and media.  It saddens me how it effects interpersonal identity of a person but whether it has negative effects it is still the reader to judge whether to believe what was posted on social media accounts.
