then the question is: who is responsible for the down time? I think it makes sense to payout a fixed amount per share based on difficulty with a slightly higher fee.

What method are you going to use to mine? Solo? PPS pool? PPLNS? Proportional pool?

If any of the pool methods, what pool?

Go with PPLNS. Idc what pool you go on, but try to avoid BTCGuild as well. They're getting sort of large.

There is still a lot of time to go, but we will surely take all advices and wishes into account, and yes I also think BTCguild is getting too big.

Hey guys,

2nd Batch is full, but I have still people which are interested (PNs)

The estimated preorders are now about 250/366 Pre ordered UNITS.

I think we can still finish a 3rd Batch, just dont wait till the end with your payments!

Best regards

As we said, we do the best to Keep everything up. We ordered 2 low power Servers (One for backup) and also the Internet Connection is backuped by a  mobile Internet Connection. If the System freezes, i can restart it with remote assistance. If a device breaks down and needs repair, it´s the risk of all of us.  So dont worry about downtime !

Is the pre-order for 3rd mining device consisting of 40 shares priced @ 1btc each open ?!

Are you going to wait for 40 shares to be sold before you order 3rd mining device or do you plan to order the 3rd device once all 40 shares are sold.

Look into mining on 50BTC. Nice PPS system, and if you set difficulty of shares to 64 you get higher share payment.

Hi guys,

we got an update on the number of devices which are able to preorder

Quote
Hi Foofighter,

I can tell you that Metabank has a limited number (likely less than 350 by now), primarily because they are only creating X number of chips for batch 1, and while fab'ing large quantities of  chips is a very fast process (1 or 2 days type scenario), from the perspective of Metabank, they have to make a decision in terms of financial risk to them. It would be something like: How much money are we willing to risk on a chip that is not yet confirmed to be working (hence batch "1")? If batch 1 fails, they would want to still have money left to enter into batch 2 after the bitfury attempts to fix any design flaws, which would not be for several months later as regardless of whether batch 1 chips fail or not. This is because foundries work on a scheduled process and there are many customers from other companies waiting in line to fabricate their own asics (not bitcoin related), so even if batch 1 works, and it only takes 1 or 2 days to fab thousands more chips, they have to wait several months before the next opportunity; hence why batch 1 has limited quantity of units.

I hope that makes sense,
Luis

So if we hurry up with the payment and get to 30 BTC, we can order a 3rd device !
