My MIOTA disappeared from the "IOTA-wallet"

Good morning I am an Italian citizen and i apologize for my poor English.

The last time i entered my "wallet-iota" was about July 5 (the first week of July); I owned 701 MI.

Then go into my "IOTA-wallet" on October 3, 2017; My "MI" have disappeared.

There are all purchases and transfers in my Bitfinex acocunt; i was upset.

I asked for help and explanations to the expert Italian users of the iota forum and I was upgrading the iota-wallet but with no results! The budget is always zero!

Is it possible that there is nothing to do? that I can not retrieve my "MI"? Blame is not mine. I did not forget the psw. It's really INJUST!

It is possible that the wallet is not synced? Is your computer safe? Any chance beeing hacked?

Don't worry, your IOTA are safe. You didn't do the transition in time required with wallet 2.4 and thus your balance has been transferred to an IOTA Foundation controlled address with the latest snapshot Sep 22. You can claim your IOTA soon with a recovery tool released by the team. I had this same problem and found the solution. In the wallet, go to the Receive section and create a new address. Create a new address and wait about a minute. Once you hit the correct number of addresses your previous wallet had, you will see your iota.

If you put your IOTA in your wallet in July and did nothing with them in the meantime, you won't find them on any wallet, as they have been moved out of your seed as I explained above. Go to Bitfinex and get your withdrawal address, you can check it against this list (cut the last 9 characters of the address off!): https://ipfs.io/ipfs/Qmeb4B5AEi5MWTreKPRtufBFRFWRVTpZkBpX6FeaXCAe3B
You should see category "CURL_UNUSED".

I logged into my account "Bitfinex" i memorized the 5 "addresses" involved in transferring from "Bitfinex" to my "IOTA-WALLET".

in the following list:

I found two of my 5 "address"

Now that I've found them, what do I have to do?

first of all download the new wallet 2.5.1 than you have to set the right node (unfortunately i don't know which) after this you generate so 10-20 addresses. after that your iota should appear. there is a very good telegram channel called iotatangle. they help a lot.

I ran the "tool" creating the new seed.

For scrupulous i created 20 "new address attaching to tangle" with old and new seed. My budget is always zero.
