Hi All,
I ran into a technical issue while funding my new kraken account.
They said they are working on it for past few days and not sure when it will be fixed.
Anyone experienced this? Should I wait or better open an account with coinbase or elsewhere.
Thanks in advance

Have you lost any money in the process? If so, open a thread in several places like here and on reddit and denounce them. Public shaming for unprofesionalism is the best tool to make them hurry up and do something.

If you didn't lose any money, I guess you should keep sending them mesages until they reply. Personally I tried once years ago opening an account there, tried verifying my address and they never verified it, it got stuck in "processing" or something.

It depends on were are you from. I wouldn't use Coinbase or anyone support segwit2x. I think Gemini from the Winklevoss brothers is legit.

No, did not loose money yet. I am in the US, so kraken has issues with funding from US banks?
Thanks

what issue it's exactly ?
so far i never heard such a thing, how about open up another account ?
and try to find out it's disabled or not.
let assume that you want to deposit your money and you're from US.
they said they're working on it,which mean right now they're not supporting it or maintenance it.
there're a lot exchanger out there,
like Bitstamp,Bitfinex,Coinbase.
also if you want to buy Bitcoin and holding it you can buy it on localbitcoin.com,
it's peer to peer platform, you can find someone from your country and buy it from him directly.

Hi sv624. I'd suggest that you create a ticket here and escalate that ticket using this form posted by Dargo. Thanks!

If you have access to Gemini or GDAX then I see no reason why anyone would bother with Kraken.

I'm not sure what their current USD set up is, but for a long time they were using a piece of shit third party payment processor who was throwing countless spanners in the works that were beyond Kraken's control.

Throw in its borderline unusability and I'd definitely be shopping elsewhere. They need to massively up their game.

Try to call their attention by going here,

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=290799.0.

Its their official ANN thread here in the forum. Usually their support here are very active and you might get the needed information as to why you issue is not yet resolved. But be aware that you will not like what you gonna see there because a lot customers have pending complaints are well.

Its about time to moved to other trading platforms mate. You can go here and check every trading platform and decide for yourself which one is the best that fits you.

I'd do both. Just wait for now as the team from Kraken will look into it, ive found them to be much better than the other two i use. I'd also open a coinbase account or similar (im assuming you tried to send fiat to your kraken acc??)as  I always turn fiat into btc before i send it onward to kraken/polo/trex etc.

If you want to buy Bitcoin and if you are facing issues with kraken then i think you should opt for other sources that provide you to buy bitcoin.
For instance you could buy BTC from coinbase but I must say that their charges are a bit too high and if you can afford it then you should go for it.
Other than that there are many other options like localbitcoins.com, bitstamp, btc-e etc... Do a research and find a service that suits you the best.
