Someone call Dow Jones, I think they've got a 'bubble' on their hands. I like comparing charts, as the different characteristics tend to be scale-invariant over different timeframes, and indicate interesting correlations. For your consideration:



Interesting similarities, eh? I particularly like the small 'bump' and how it lines up really well before the subsequent fall-off. The fractal nature of charts never ceases to amaze me.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.
