so far it only seems to me that people like to talk about the fork rather than the fork really have any effect on anything. and at some point it won't be able to have any effect at all.
this i believe is mainly because of the fact that we already had a huge decline in price which lead to this recovery and a strong resistance on the way down which is in fact pushing the price up at this moment.

I think bitcoin price will dump again, just like what happen the last time fork, but we all don't know the exact date and time, but for sure it will dump again, but I think it will still recover, and I don't know if it will recover as fast just like the last time hard fork, maybe it will hard for the next time to rise again.  Huh

The problem of this fork is that the possibility to create another criptocurrency is too too high. Bitcoin is not a democracy. Everyone runs the code they want to run. Someone else running an incompatible version of the protocol is not a "corporate takeover". You can just run the code you want to run. if bitcoin isn't resilient to people running incompatible versions of the protocol, no amount of social pressure will keep it secure.

I don't think there will be any big dump or correction on price this time as hype for forked coin is almost zero and people have already seen hard fork on august, they are being optimistic about outcome from fork rather than being fearful.

What are you guys predicting will happen before/after the next fork?
I assume that BTC price will fall after the fork because the people will go back to their recent altcoins (assuming that they only moved to / bought bitcoins to get free btcgold); Anyway, the price fall won't be permanent because late adapters will most likely buy bitcoins in the dip. Geez, it's hard to tell huh. ha ha ha. But one thing is kinda certain to happen, people will sell bitcoin gold to get more bitcoins.

Not sure if you are referring to Bitcoin gold (soft fork) or Segwitx2 (hard fork). Segwitx2 posses a very real threat since it does not aim to serve as an alternate coin. Segwitx2 is going to call themselves Bitcoin as well, would be a bloody fight in my opinion if the fork come to pass. Market movement probably will be an upward trend all the way until either Segwitx2 fork happens or not.
