Hi guys,

I am brand new to the forum, but only relatively new to ETH as I've been trading now for a few months.
I am sure there is no universal answer, but would you provide any hints how to get instantly updated for reasons of ETH volatility of more than 10 currency units?

For example, all of a sudden ETH goes from 215 EUR to 230 EUR
or
Last night ETH goes from 247 EUR to 256 EUR

What I usually do is look here in the forum, twitter, google etc., but usually reasons for such volatility appear days after (like Chinese, Japanese ICO bans, etc)

Hope my question makes sense, cheers.  Grin

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

The price movements that you have mentioned as examples happen everyday in the crypto world.
They are not always caused by real news (e.g. China banning ICOs), but sometimes are just
caused by a surge in demand or a surge of supply.

ETH is special in this regard, because many ICOs have no intention to keep the ETH they raised
during the ICO, but instead convert them to BTC or to fiat. This means that if a big ICO decides to
cash out their holdings the ETH supply suddenly increases (or the price drops if they sell
using market orders).

Let me know if you have any further questions!

For example, all of a sudden ETH goes from 215 EUR to 230 EUR
or
Last night ETH goes from 247 EUR to 256 EUR

these fluctuations don't exceed 10% and are characteristic only for the period of stability.

we all remember what waves were this summer and after the ico ban by China.
