Hi Folks,

How easy or difficult is it to run your own pool for Bitcoin mining instead of using Antpool? Has anyone done it? Experiences? Thanks.

Running your own mining pool that other miners can mine, aside from yourself that will use is not an easy job to do, and requires extensive systems administration experience as well as a large budget, patience, troubleshooting skills, and a solid knowledge of how crypto-currencies work. There is a Linux open source apps named uNOMP that will help you setup a mining pool. A basic knowledge in Linux, Networking Administration and Network Setup, Cyber security are the pre-requisite  to run your own mining pool. Here is the link intended for novice guide in setting up your own mining pool. Once you are familiar with  this guide later on you will be more confident in running your own mining pool, although it is time consuming but it is worth to try. This is for reference purpose only.
