MEC blockchain is active and maintained. Over the past weeks, we've fixed critical node syncing issues, corrected pool payouts, and prepared consensus fixes. Our v1.10.0 code is merged into LIMXTEC/Megacoin@master (PR #30). While an official release tag from LIMXTEC is still pending, unofficial Docker builds and binaries are available for node operators.
Current Mainnet State (Height ~2.15M+):
- 2 - 6 Masternodes active & paying
- Dedicated pool active at pool.scotynau.tech with correct MN reward splits
- BIP9 mn_enforcement bit=2 is ACTIVE (height 2096000), but currently acts as a soft-fork placeholder due to the 6-signature P2P vote threshold requirement.
Active Fixes & Pull Requests:
1. PR #30 (Merged): GCC 14 / Boost 1.76 compatibility, Docker support, DoS hardening.
2. PR #32 (Open): Fixes 'Block rewind / verification failure' and RewindBlockIndex
pruning crash during reindex / clean sync.
Hard Fork Proposal — Issue #33 (Protocol 70007):
We have opened Issue #33 on the official upstream repository to coordinate a consensus upgrade targeting two vulnerabilities:
- Bounded Emergency Difficulty: Prevents permanent chain stalls when external hashrate spikes and drops sharply.
- Strict Masternode Payment Enforcement: Enforces valid coinbase output shape checks directly at consensus level, eliminating reliance on inactive P2P votes.
