Oh, i saw this video few days back; I thought it is a latest video. Thanks for the information, but still it is interesting to know the views of one of the top indian economist about the bitcoins.
I respect Raghuram, but India has much to learn about Bitcoins and it's potential, lack of knowledge will create concern to everyone
So what do you think will India bring the law and regulations to get control of the cypto currencies and then may be licence the exchanges who can operate in India or will it try to ban and might be braining their own coin which they would have total control and uses the block chain technology?
Nope i dont think so ,there will law for cryptocurrency.first our is developing country and second demonetisation failed so government is aiming for black money source now.there are 3 quantities who have highest chance of black money involved, stock market - government has control over it,gold-records can be taken from jewellery shop.finaly bitcoin -decentralised ,so max blame goes to cryptocurrency.may be in future ,govt start using blockchain technology as bitcoin is gaining popularity amongst indians.
It is not easy to bring out the black money, there are so many ways to convert the black money into clean money and unfortunately authorities are also involved in such scams. People will always find a way to break any law or restriction related to black money. As per me, India will never ban the bitcoins but the indian government will look for the alternatives to monitor the cryptos.
