Hello,

I originally started this thread in the newbies section but apart from alot of scam-messages privately about downloading .rar's and giving them my private key I had no luck. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=223823.new#new

I'm trying to get my LTC paper-wallet back online since I want to spend them on services. When I couldnt find a service online for import of LTC private keys I downloaded the litecoin-qt client and syncronized it with the blockchain. Right now I suspect there is something wrong with my client since;

*liteadress.org seems to be a legitimate and trusted site for paper wallets.

*Block explorer shows that my adress does indeed carry my balance, while the litecoin-qt return invalid adress when checking the balance.

I tried what was described in the other thread about using the cmd prompt but it still didnt work...

Any help or ideas with how to get my ltc back online would be much appretiated!

Best regards,

/Ave13

If i'm right, you have imported your private key into the wallet, but the balance isn't showing?

If so, have you tried running litecoin-qt with the -rescan command?

Actually, I dont remember the commandprompt ever returning a positive response to the inputprivkey command however the adress has shown up in "Recieve Litecoins" tab (I did however input the command one million times so it might have slipped through sometimes tonight)

I have not tried this -rescan command, I will try it out immediatly! Thanks a million!

I have the same problem but when i put  "-rescan" in the console it still gives me "method not found."

It shows up in Receive with the public address but doesnt update my wallet total.

Also, the coins are still on my paper wallet when I go to check the balance.

I used the steps outlined in the links below.
https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=7072.0

http://www.coinqa.org/import-paper-wallet-to-litecoin-qt/

Edit: I get this when i enter the "importprivkey 1234sfY5...."

"Error adding key to wallet (code -4)"

Is your wallet encrypted? You need to unlock it first if it is:
Code:
walletpassphrase YourPasswordHere 60

Will unlock your wallet for 60 seconds which should be enough to run the importprivkey line straight after.
