It "might" be another alt coins after a split that is, a hard fork takes place which is scheduled to occur on November. It's like bitcoin cash, but has different mining algorithm than bitcoin. Don't think this one is actually going to be successful.

Bitcoin gold is a new coin that will release this oct. 25 where new fork are schedule. But as i know it will be exchange or mine on nov. 1 after or before segwit 2x well correct me if im wrong.

It is good to hear that there exchange who comit to exchange bitcoin gold maybe they see a potential of this coin in their side. If other exchange will include this coin in their platform this coin will surely increase it value over a short oeriod of time. But there no futher announcement yet at thia moment.... What if this exchange are the only one who accept it, what do you think will happen on this new co-related of bitcoin?

I 've never seen about such exchange sites which considered to listed the bitcoin gold to their platform, just waiting for further announcement from the another excahnge sites regarding the bitcoin gold. But none of the major exchange already announced about that.

What is Bitcoin Gold? You should start by telling that to people.

It's like Bitcoin Cash, except by another company with different ideas.

Apart from the 2 exchanges that you mentioned i really don't know any others that will be committed to listing them. Fact is that compared to bitcoin cash, bitcoin gold is not getting as much media attention. Nobody is really talking about it.

I doubt major exchanges like poloniex will list them.

Bitcoin gold is spreading its name that it will release after the hard fork. So I think it is really the same like bitcoin cash. And I dont think this will big hit in the exchange and price value will rise. So I will watch out for this new bitcoin gold.

October 25, as of the initial annoucement.

It's like bitcoin cash, but has different mining algorithm than bitcoin. Don't think this one is actually going to be successful.
Started off as "bitcoinGPU", got a lot of bad press due to ICO plans (essentially insta-mining a bunch of blocks directly after the fork), and was thus rebranded to "Bitcoin Gold".

I wonder if a hardfork would count as an ICO for the Chinese government. There are so many loopholes.

But honestly if some major sites don't pick up bitcoingold or some exchanges soon it will flop hard.

I don't know why there is so much hype around Bitcoin Gold. This alt-coins does not have any decent dev team nor program what they want to achieve beside having an alt-coin, GPU mineble and with BTC name.

My only plans are to dump the 'free money'.

Yobit are CREDITING BTG to BTC holders on the 23rd ...

Not the time frame I was expecting 25th through 1st Nov

They were super quick getting wallets and deposits up for BCH-BCC so perhaps they know something I don't ?

they are locking both wallets while the sparks fly

Let's take it the other way around, why are you expecting a wait time till 1st November?

Well, first up  excuse if I have not done any research since my last spin round ... I could be out of date.

I was under the impression that the BTC chain "snapshot" was being taken on the 25th. (2 days after YoBit issue gold)
and the wallet software or mining / whatever software was going to be released come early (1st) November ...

Has this changed ?
Are Yobit just going to lock the wallets 2 days early and assume that will be on the snapshot?
Will they even have a wallet (ie. option to withdraw and to where?) before 1st Nov

Maybe sites like this ...

The forking block is #491407 (expected ~4 days edit: actually more like 3 days from this moment), so 25th is still correct (at least in most timezones).

Are Yobit just going to lock the wallets 2 days early and assume that will be on the snapshot?
Assuming they disable Bitcoin transactions on the 23rd, yobit could credit BTG at that point (since their wallet balances won't change afterwards).
I don't use/follow yobit, so I can't tell how they handle these forks, but it's a possibility.
