At the moment I am only in this to invest and also to develop new solutions to the btc markets. But my hope of course is that btc will be a valid payment method across the world.

Got help from me? Feel free to tip me Smiley   BTC: 13hrdpUSJWhe2n4g4kTSHEx4GYUF9v5CU3

I just used my first 0.2 BTC that I earned through task and PTC sites to buy a key for Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm on bitmit.com.

And I plan to keep that up. I'm a fan of the concept of Bitcoin as a currency. Thus I want to use it as such to buy products.

People that aren't involved in BTC have a very bad view on Bitcoin. This I have learned yesterday in the forums for Mechwarrior Online, where someone else (not me) proposed that PGI should accept BTC. Most people think it's a digital currency mainly used by criminals to wash money and buy illegal goods anonymously.

This is why I think that viewing BTC as a pure investment thing that you speculate on and use to get rich does not help at all to improve the image and even worse will ultimately lead to the downfall and disappearence of BTC. At the latest when BTC stop to be produced the currency will simple lose it's value and diappear if by that time no healthy system in which BTC can circulate can be established. What we need is legit stores accepting BTC to buy normal every day products.

I agree with what is being said about stores are needing to accept payment by bitcoin however ATM and in the near future I don't see why people would risk buying into bitcoin when they have no benefit of paying with it over there own currency.

I am curious what happens in international markets. Especially wit the rise of bitcoins. To bad I've already finished my final paper for international economics, or I would have like to write about this.

For me I only see bitcoins as an investment, which could in time lead to a brake trough of acceptance, and could then become a sort of pseudo-coin.

Been plugged in since 2010 to support the chain.  I don't think BTC will be the solid / final basis for crypto-currency in the coming years, but it's a beautiful experiment in creating some sort of currency sanity... Using as money seems like a pretty terrible idea, but using it as a currency... beats nationstate issued fiat!

Was setting up a mining operation, and for a period BTC was the most profitable to mine. But other than that, I like to keep my virtual money in a few different crypto currencies to minimize the risk.
