Hi all,

With smart contract functionality being integrated into LTC soon, I guess I just want to get your perspective on ETH and it's usefulness.

Sure smart contracts are an innovative idea, but I have huge doubts about Ethereum as a crypto. Ethereum only really serves a few niche needs and I don't think I quite understand it's intrinsic value.

Ethereum is suffering from major scaling issues at present. Transferring ETH out of my wallet was literally impossible today using mist, and mist is honestly one of the most buggy wallets I've ever used in my life. I also don't like how centralized this project has become.

A crypto is meant to be a versatile store of value and I only really see three main crypto's surviving in the future: digital gold (BTC), silver(LTC) and copper (DOGE ? Tongue).

I don't know if anyone agrees with me, just my thoughts...

ETH is MILES ahead of LTC, even as a currency. Every single crypto is going to face challenges trying to scale - and right now Eth is the blockchain with the most Tx/s (and holds the record for most tx in a day aswell)

Regarding the wallet, if you think mist is bad, just use MEW or any other alternative.

Wait, is this a troll post or something? It keeps getting worse. Crypto isn't meant to be a store of value, you're looking in the wrong place.

If you are looking for smart contracts, ETH is the choice.
They will integrate it in LTC, but may be and ETH smart contracts are proven in time with ICOs for many billions.

I see that ltc and Ethereum have great future
Huge smart contracts
I see Ltc @200$ at least soon
Also Eth should hit 500$ soon
But I prefer Eth than Ltc
With all my best wishes

Look at the number of tokens which have been issued on the ETH blockchain. ETH is miles ahead of LTC in this aspect.
I so no reason why LTC smart contracts should impact ETH.

So true. LTC will gain traction once more mainstream merchants start to accept the currency.

I think Ethereum will remain the main platform for the ICO. Too much ICO conducted at Ethereum, they have a lot of experience in this area for them just not keep up with this.

Smart contracts are must for coins like eth ltc or waves but it’s not fair to compare other coins with eth for now. Eth is far ahead now but anything can happen in the future, this is crypto.

I wasn't aware of litecoin integrating smart contracts. I feel like litecoin is taking all kinds of measures to stay relevant in the crypto space because other than being a test ground for bitcoin (segwit and possibly lightning network). That's why I don't see big value in litecoin other than some fabricated pumps.

I am not sure, what the benefits of LTC are. ETH has many projects for developers, companies, croud funding, cloud services and so on. So ETH is already one of the leading cryptocurrencies.

what? smart contracts in LTC? how is that a good idea, rotfl. Litecoin is just copy of bitcoin it shouldn't even exist. Smart contracts will not help lite coin. Well, they may be a little pump, so if you bought litecoin around 70$ you can sell it on the pump!

LTC is a very convenient coin. It seems to me that it was underestimated. It should already cost three times as much. And its price is again low. I am sure that soon we will see the LTC pump

Come on... If you are asking whether LTC is the same as ETH, then you have a lot of catching up to do in the altcoin space. Just because they are going to share a common attribute doesn't mean that they become identical. They are 2 different coins, after all.

With atomic swaps and the connection of lightning networks, LTC is more of an addition to BTC, not just a testing ground.
LTC can help with scaling and being interconnected with BTC, I'd say it's far from being unrelevant.

Same goes for the connection through RSK, not just that through their lightning networks.

Both coins/currencies/tokens are strong and there is room for both to co-exist in the smart contracts zone but maybe taking g slightly different paths.
