All the hate for one coin series I deeply love Having spent a good deal of time on the US Mint main blog..older stackers/numises seem to dislike this in large, but younger tend to love it.  Love numismatics but don’t have a strong love  for a lot of “basic” (maybe still very pricey hwvr) old US coins. Didn’t see that era and just don’t care.. I want too though!

I really feel like in the next 20-30 years traditional numismatic collecting could take a massive hit. Hardly any of my friends around my age (25-40) collect bullion let alone coins. It sucks- just curious how you numis/coin stackers feel in the regard?

No hate, but the 5 oz size doesn't really fit my collection.  Also, while I enjoy the ATB reverses I cannot enjoy the GW obverse as I would much prefer a new design for that side of the coin.  I see the US quarter every day in my pocket change. 

I go to one or two traditional coin shows per month and I see so many tables of old graded Morgan dollars that I agree with you - in a few years as the older numismatists die off the market is going to be flooded with old US coins such as Morgan dollars.

My collection is mostly modern government semi-numi - things like china pandas, ukraine archangel michael, perth lunars etc....

I tried talking to some of the oldies on the US Mint Blog about this, but the majority are short sided on the topic IMO.  I try to get my friends involved, friends in the financial industry most of all.  Some are turning over the leaf on Crypto, that's hard enough..coin collecting forget it.  Surely a market will always exist and I speak for US citizens here only..but it's going to come down in scale, without question. The US mint is not helping anything.  They ignore the US Mint Blog members ideas and requests non-stop..their most faithful fans?!

 Personally I just like different.  If you collect coins/bullion of course I get my yearly rounds of silver A.E.'s, silver pandas, but have gotten so board with the US coins I've branched out to what I consider coin/bullion (2 oz high reliefs at providentmetals..gorgeous coins IMO, star wars from the NZmint I cant lie I love all but the colored ones).  Also just collect the most random stuff, like Roman Denary, Cook Islands Masterpieces of Art, and other odd stuff  

Problem with what I love is that normally the market will fade on almost all of it.  Not super rare, not old etc..people get bored fast.
