This is giving me a headache, I have been using Bitminter fine for awhile now but would like to mine Litecoins.
This is the pool I am trying to use http://de2.suprnova.cc:8336

I've tried using CGminer 3.1.1 but when i input the pool url and my user/pass it says it cannot connect and it crashes.  I have tried using the same settings with BFGminer 2.10.8 and it is able to connect to the pool but it says it's using my GPU but won't show the name and it only goes at 7.5kh/s.  This makes me think its using my CPU and not the GPU which I get 10.6mh/s from with Bitminter.

I also tried making a .bat file for mining litecoins that i found here http://www.cryptobadger.com/2013/04/build-a-litecoin-mining-rig-windows/
The guide says to use CGminer but I was wondering if the BFGminer would accept the file or not?

Another thread I looked at mentions a .bin file with a long name that caused the crashes but I have no such file in my CGminer directory.

6-3-13 11:21PM  EDIT:   I have tried going into BIOS and disabling the on-board GPU but BFGminer continues to use it and ignores my GT520. The CGminer is now simply crashing after I input my initial pool/user info. I have tried running CGminer from the cmd prompt to see what the error is, but the window just disappears and I get no error message.

Are BFGminer and CGminer compatible with nVidia cards, I can't afford a new card atm?

If you are using an Nvidia card i would recommend using cudaminer if your trying to mine scrypt based coins better hash then cgminer i get about double on mine

there is a spreed sheet that should give you your optimum settings or just play around till you find the

you will need a stratum proxy if you are connecting to a stratum node

if you need any more help just shoot me a pm

also scrypt mining is 1/1000 slower than bitcoin based mining so it will be in kh

Okay, thanks for the advice I'll head over to that thread and check it out.
