Can you explain to us what you mean when you said "activity mode"?
Anyway, posts is
not equal to activity. You can only gain a maximum of one activity per day. To maximize this, you must make at least one post a day. Also, don't make it a habit of posting replies that doesn't contribute to the conversation and or is not related to the topic.
For more information:
Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?)This is not fully correct. In order to maximize your activity in the forums you should post no less than once every activity period. That is, at least once every two weeks before the cut-off day. By doing that, your activity becomes the lesser number of these 2-week periods multiplied by 14 or the number of posts that you have posted so far. This means that posting every day does not actually help your activity at all, and that is part of how the system was designed. If you had to post every day without fail you would be more likely to post unneeded posts, so the activity requirement would be counter-productive. On the other hand, the current system allows for you to post simply when you find the need and is a better representation of forum activity.
Edited for clarification.
