Can you explain to us what you mean when you said "activity mode"?

Anyway, posts is not equal to activity. You can only gain a maximum of one activity per day. To maximize this, you must make at least one post a day. Also, don't make it a habit of posting replies that doesn't contribute to the conversation and or is not related to the topic.

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every hour.

This is not fully correct. In order to maximize your activity in the forums you should post no less than once every activity period. That is, at least once every two weeks before the cut-off day. By doing that, your activity becomes the lesser number of these 2-week periods multiplied by 14 or the number of posts that you have posted so far. This means that posting every day does not actually help your activity at all, and that is part of how the system was designed. If you had to post every day without fail you would be more likely to post unneeded posts, so the activity requirement would be counter-productive. On the other hand, the current system allows for you to post simply when you find the need and is a better representation of forum activity.

Edited for clarification.

The signature campaign posters adding useless redundant fluff to their posts to reach their minimum word count are lowering my IQ.

Some of your posts were deleted or in threads that got deleted/trashed.
Your activity cannot be higher than your post number, thus with decreasing posts, you also had decreasing activity.
After you made a new post, your activity takes a short while to update (IIRC up to 60 minutes), bringing you to 14 posts and 13 activity.
(which went to 15 for both when you made this thread)

It's not rocket science.
