There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

My story is the classic: I was holding my coins on cryptsy. Everyone here knows what happened...
Then I made a longer break but came back because I´m addicted to crypto like all of us.  Grin

Hoping you learned the lesson. If you want to hold coins, don't keep them on exchanges!

I am newbie here. So I don't have an experience by scam. I am reading some of your quote so that I have now a some strategies to avoid scammer or hacker. I hope that I will not experience what you have been experienced. Because I don't know what will I do if that happen to me. So thank you for sharing your experience.

I am newbie here. I am reading all you post and reply so that I have now an idea to avoid hacker or scam. I will make sure that I will not experience what some of you experience. I hope that someday the hackers will ban in the bitcoin, permanently banned.

A good start for beginners is to watch Youtube videos of people with lots of subscribers, and who released a good number of videos and know what they are talking about.
Contact them in private if you need info.
