Not sure which county will be next but I guess there will be more countries following. But not to worry, the countries are not banning ICO, it is just regulating.

And this thing is already being started by CHINA which they do make some news that they would ban ICO but actually they would end up on letting them again but on a regulated way which isn't surprising because they wont gain something if they would decide to ban ICO. Hope in future years no country would able to do such thing.

Now everybody scary that government will ban the ICO in their country. Which country will be the next?

countries dont bann ico, they dont care about cryptocurrencies, they are just dead pieces of land. the question should be correctly: which countries banker cartel will ban ICO;

my opinion there are multiple faktors behind it. My point of view with the information that i have.

1. Infrastructure complexity population density and the dependence of the local population on continuing the current financial systen, with its diversified economy.
2. The greed, determination and ability of the "countries" established banker cartel and the privileged elite around it to keep their power.
3. The "countries" ability to effectivly ban without winning just temporarily pyros victorys in the long term.(that is even difficult for china)

Countries where first two "metrics" match strongly are: China, Korea(north and south), japan , South Africa, Nigeria, Vietnam, Zimbabwe
all three match only in china, maybee future india too but for india the point 2. is not sure, so i dont list it.
Russia is likely too but russia doesnt fit into faktor 1. very strongly. despite strong (2) and (3)

The third faktor excludes many western european wealthy democracies out of this. Including north america.

my best bet after all outside of china would be Turkey despite slightly weak (1), Japan, could be likely too but the ban would not be comming from the banker cartel but by the population demands if cryptoeconomics doesnt fit their infrastructure security needs. because japan has a strong (1) and a strong (3)

but india and bangladesh are also warm second guesses in this... even pakistan could join this list, but the government is weak there... (2!)

Furthermore good and special candidate is Java (1&2&3) dominated Indonesia here a true maybe even totalitarian interest conflicts lies, with overpopulated java (1,2,3) beeing in a conflict with rest of indonesia that is low populated. Cryptocurrencies could seriously stress the integrity of Indonesia.

African countries have in general Strong (2) but weak (1&3) so there will be some candidates from there too (Nigeria, Southafrica, Zimbabwe, Erithrea, Ethiopia, egypt) These are likely banning maybe even financial inquisition Candidates (zimbabwe has had its history with financial inquisition already) but they are not very rich to fight Crypto Currencies in the long term.

PS: A Big and Important Exception to consider:
financially specialised City States like Singapore, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, UAE Dubai, Qatar but also less financial Brunei, Macao, Bahrain match all three (1&2&3) good but they will not likely ban because of their economic structure (financial hubs, Gambling etc.) so they are not in this list despite economic interest good faktors for (1&2&3) considering that, makes this analysis content.

i hope i was able to help you with this

regards

Scorpio

i am working it considering my three significant faktors, china korea and india are good bets. I had to consider lots of socioeconomic faktors into this analysis for many different countries.

I think maybe the UK / USA will be next to ban ICO's.

I don't think anyone should be worried, we already had China and South Korea ban them and the crypto world is still fine! There will always be some countries that welcome cryptocurrency as well.

I do foresee more and more countries coming in to ban ICO or at least try to regulate ICO. A lot of the ICO is purely money grabbing. The projects can go by the traditional way of finding fundings but they do not because it requires a lot of work. So they end up setting up ICO by just randomly adding blockchain into the project when there is no need. Without proper foundation, a lot of the ICO will lose value in the long run and there are even scammer projects to steal all the fund raised.

Not sure, and wouldn't be surprised at all if another country bans ICOs honestly.

Governments are scared that decentralized cryptos are actually going to become a mainstream thing and right now bitcoin + altcoins are demonstrating their ability attract investors as well as work in a decentralized way.

China, Korea has already banned them. Wouldn't be surprised if US is next tbh.

Would be quite bad if Switzerland starts banning ICOs as it's the bastion of cryptocurrencies currently. All bets are off when that happens.

China and Korea banned ICOs just because there were too many scams back in their countries. Hopefully they will figure out a way to regulate it in the future just like Japan.

I think another Asian country will ban them to join forces with China and South Korea.

I don't think it really matters, and there are murmurs of China overturning it once their elections are done. If that happens Then I think this worry of ICO's getting banned will disappear.

I agree with your opinion, for some reason, the government should protect their citizens from ico scams, on the other hand, they do not want this market to be out of control.

The recent country that alreayd banned the icos from their environtment just like south korean and china but it seems other are interested to give a regulation to the ico. The fact that about you can see about the latest rally of the crypto, is that not give a complete result regarding how strong the ico is? The price already jumped again.

It is difficult to ban ICOs because they have so many ways to buy. I think if the government can control all ICO projects then this will probably happen and ICO projects will be banned in those countries.

Government will always tend to keep its citizens on the right track. Here even among the Asian countries China holds the largest number of ico developers and few go as a scam in between due to the lack of funding. In my view ico is an digital form of find rising, but this needs to be used in the right manner, then there won't be any issues same as the one that happened few weeks back.
