I use a ledger but I feel nervous with all my btc on one wallet, so I want to spread the risk over other wallets.

What if I made a bread wallet, moved btc to it, wrote the pass phrase down and then wiped the wallet and deleted it off my phone? Decent cold storage assuming the pass phrase wasn't key logged?

If I looked at pass phrase when mobile data is turned off it would be safe?

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I think you are talking about a seeds passphrase if you had the 12  words seeds or the private keys(these are important) you can recover them in other wallet for me to reduce the risk spread it  in other wallet you can use electrum as your other wallet and the other generate in bitaddress and backup the private keys or print your paper wallet in bitaddress.. It can decrease the risk of losing all of your bitcoin in one place.. but for me i only use electrum wallet to save my bitcoins and i still not experience of any hack i always scan my computer every month and prevent my pc become infected. just to be safe of my holdings..

Solving blocks can't be solved without my rigs.

If you're just going to write stuff down on paper... Why bother using Bread wallet and possibly leaving digital traces behind?

Just follow the traditional "tried and true" methods of creating paperwallets "offline"... Get a dice, roll it 100 times etc... Or use an offline computer (Live CD/USB boot Disk with non network OS) to generate your paper wallet...
