Hello world!
I'm the manager of a modest environmental indiegogo campaign, and I'm trying to weigh the advantages of opening up our campaign to receive bitcoin donations. The indiegogo platform itself does not facilitate transfers, so I would have to do the leg work myself, later donating the funds in USD to the campaign.
Advice?
In terms of money flow, I'm thinking about this:
1. Contributor send bitcoins to my wallet. 2. I convert bitcoins to USD 3. I donate USD to campaign, recognizing donor name, guaranteeing perks, etc.
I could also use some secure advice on the most trusted intermediaries, etc. I've done a fair amount of reading over the past few weeks, but I still fancy myself, well...an utter noob.
I do have a verified Mt. Gox and Dwolla account though. (Yes, I know Dwolla is not transfering to mtgox right now)
I can't post links (like I said, noob) but you can check out our campaign by searching ASI Conserva Chile on the indiegogo homepage.

I like the concept! The problem I see is lag time because some of those projects can take 6 months to fulfill, and BTC may have doubled during that time! hmmmm

Actually, I think the average Indiegogo campaign is about 40 days...ours has approximately 35 days left.
I assume you were referring to the campaign projects, correct?

1) I am giving to this Indiegogo no matter what: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/project-daily-nk-amplify-the-north-korea-info-flow2) we should as the bitcoin community lobby Indigogo to accept bitcoin naitively 3) if OP simply adds a bitpay or Coinbase merchant account [instantly convert to USD] that links to the indiegogo payment page [if they accept an ACH bank xfer like a check] or will need a trusted party to accept & re-ship. Either way bitcoin price immaterial.

seems okay for everyone donating but a big hassle for you -- plus, tax issues re btc<-->fiat, seems like a big hassle imo
