I would have even like to contact the bitcoin ATM companies personally for them to consider bringing the bitcoin ATM to my country. It will be a very fertile ground for them but our government and central bank are still confuse over the issue of bitcoin. But I know we will have a technologically enlighten government official that will understand the concept of blockchain technology in future.

In my city, there was 62 bitcoin machines in June. Now there is 92 ATM machines around the city. Crazy.
In 2013-2014, there was 3 machines.

Trend is definitely quite good here. Once the scalabillity issuse is addressed in the proper way, i suspect we will see the real explosion of those - maybe even introduction on regular ATM-s which would be a blast.

Buying bitcoin fee is around usually around 10%-25% depending on the ATM. Some ATM have 3% fee. There are a few different brands.

Selling bitcoin is 0% fee.
What country are you talking about btw? I've just found an article that lists the average fee on Bitcoin ATM's and it's nowhere near the percentage that you mention.

The average fee on Bitcoin ATMs in 2016 was 7.5% and 923 machines were tested in total.

Usually the fees are below 10% and I can't imagine anyone paying a 25% fee to buy Bitcoin.

I get really depressed when I read things like this. My country has 4 bitcoins machines so I consider myself really lucky to live in a city with one Smiley Hopefully the trend will come to other parts of the world as well.
My country has 5 bitcoin ATM's with a 7% fee, and 4 of them are in my city, all of them in a 100 meters area Cheesy. Somebody didnt think this thru...

That shows the popularity of bitcoins. Well in my country people are still unknown about the crypto currency. Its still under developing country here we can sell n buy bitcoins from merchants that have invested and they sell it on great profits. There are no atm machines still here. I wish we could have some.

His profile indicates that he might be in Romania. Maybe Tszunami98 can confirm?
Still 7% fee is high, really, don't want to sound like cheap but I would rather convert my BTC to Euros and transfer to my bank account.
Fees should go down though as BTC becomes more adopted and if ATM are to be found in more and more places...
well I hope so.  Wink

Wow, it seems like some places are really increasing the amount of ATM's.
Do you guys know if fees are set by manufacturer or person that owns the ATM?
Is there a slit anywhere of all the ATM's?

Your typical bitcoin exchange is more convenient, and it charges less fees. You will in all likelihood only use the bitcoin ATM once to try it and then never touch one again.

I'm curious to what city do you live, though I think its no surprise considering bitcoin's popularity nowadays and it seems your country accepts bitcoins well.

I am also very hopeful about my government will also start working on crypto currencies and will implement the bitcoin ATMs in my country which will be very beneficial for the people for example they will easily transact their money if needed anywhere and anytime without sharing their personal information with the buyer.

Hopefully bitcoin ATMs will spread out similar to bitcoin's fame so that will be enabling people to access bitcoin at conveniences for any common people.

No, he is not from Romania, he claims to be from Canada

Here in Canada, the price of the bitcoin is approx $3,100 Canadian dollars. However, the ATM gives you a rate of approx $4,100. I deposited $100 and got back $77 worth of BTC. Is this the normal rate?

But I kind a doubt this since his profile looks more like a farming account with that 50/50 activity/posts.
At least we pinpointed the country now people from Montreal or Toronto maybe Vancouver can tell us if there are indeed 92 ATMs there.
Either way the fees are outrageous:
