Real cash can be duplicated and faked nowadays. People produce their own money and some get away with it.

I was wondering, in bitcoin world, can an individual duplicate his bitcoins? If yes, how it is possible?

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

No.
I think it will be better if you will research what is blockchain.
But to make it simple,  everything you do in cryptocurrency will have a unique signature which will then be needed to confirm by others.  Therefore if you wanted to create a duplicate of your coin out of thin air then this must also be having a signature of its own.  But i am absolutely sure that this will not be confirmed by others.
This is just a glimpse of blockchain,  still better to conduct your research to understand it further.

Due to the nature of how bitcoin and blockchain technology work, this is impossible. No one can duplicate or fake anything since every computer running bitcoin core has a full copy of the entire blockchain. Bitcoin was built with fraudulent activity in mind.

Maybe possible if you can hack bitcoin blockchain which is improbable because the database in bitcoin blockchain cannot be change by anyone since no one can control it and once the transaction is confirmed it is permanent. this is why blockchain is the best invention of the decade.

Actually, what you are talking about is completely impossible, due to the mere nature of bitcoin.

Unlike a real money, bitcoin only exists through a chain of verification that are made, in very tiny parts, by many individuals.
So faking bitcoins or doubling what you have is impossible just because there are too many sources of “security check”.  Grin
